What customers say
Well-kept, peaceful site with roomy, private pitches. Friendly staff and rural setting are highlights. Onsite café and nearby pubs are popular. Most liked the clean washrooms, but some noted infrequent cleaning, wet floors, missing hooks, and poor ventilation. A few found pitches tricky to access, and one reported disruptive neighbour noise.

Disappointing
Primitive grass campsite
Liked Location
Shower/toilet block was modern
Disliked The site was tired, had a rally including a small marquee with beer on tap, karaoke and mic. ALL weekend. Situated about 50yds away. There was no guidlines and people weee very close to each other. Sat night a large marquee with a wedding reception in full swing. All these people used the toilet facilities and went on til early hours. We had no prior knowledge of either of these events and actually left a day early. We had an event close by on the Saturday o thankfully not on site.

Will return but it was not the break hoped for on this occasion
Primitive grass campsite
Liked Stayed here before returned because like the location and set up. Seperate showers and toilets as well as a wash up area (only one sink though) Cafe good to have if you don’t fancy cooking. Shop very limited more like a tuck shop. Local shop 3 mins drive in Wolvey or Co op 4 mins drive in Bulkington.
Disliked Very noisy at for the 3 nights on this occasion - big group in the other field who had a PA system which meant everything said (mainly by one bloke) or sang when they did karaoke was heard by all when it didn’t need to be. I expect noise when camping it’s part of it but generally there is some consideration for fellow campers which means toning it down after 11pm but this was not the case. Not sure if 5 ways lake were aware of events taking place but a heads up prior to booking would have been appreciated as we would have chosen somewhere else.

Liked Very welcoming owners. Pitch was very large. Site was maintained well.would visit again
Disliked Being where it is, would benefit from a little shop on site for getting small items you might need, lots of comments on toilets being dirty? I found it was only the floor which was dirty! But you have to expect it being a campsite,

Not great for a quiet get aqay
Primitive grass campsite
Liked Well maintained pitches and lots of space in the area we were in
Disliked Toilets were dirty more than they were clean and regularly had no toilet roll.
Whilst taking a shower a team member tried to unlock the door despite calling out that there was someone in there.
Seems to be a bit of a party site. We were kept up both nights by groups in the same area as us making so much noise. Not just moving around noise but shouting and at one point howling until midnight.

From the manager: We're sad to hear that you didn't enjoy your stay with us, thanks for sending feedback for us to consider.
As you can imagine, keeping the toilets spotless when the site is busy is a humongous task and changes depending on the care the customers take over them whilst using them, we can only apologise for someone trying to open the door, we understand that is not a nice situation to be in. We would hope that our customers would let us know if the toilets rolls have run out and we would top them up straight away.
When it is busy, it can be quite a loud site, unfortunately we don't know the nature of the customers visiting before they arrive and cannot predict whether it is going to be noisy or not.
Lovely well- maintained campsite
Primitive grass campsite
Liked Lovely well maintained site. Liked that the toilets and showers were all individual. Didn’t use cafe this time but popped in to see what they do and prices and would use in future. A small onsite shop as well - 3 mins drive (I walked to get a newspaper and it took about 20/25 mins) into Wolvey there is a shop/off licence if you forget anything. 2pubs that serve food (bulls head dog friendly)
Disliked Nothing to dislike
