Liked - Site Staff
- Site Location
- Site in General

Everything from arriving, being shown to our Pitch use of the facilities was great. Travelling a young family, the site Warden was extremely helpful. Lovely site with easy and close access to the restaurant and bar with big outdoor TV screen. Right on the river for some great walks.

Disliked - Wc/Shower facilities slightly dated. However this doesn't take away from their good working condition.

Liked The site managers are lovely, very welcoming and super friendly. The river taxi is great to get you into the centre of Stratford, only takes about 15 mins or so and the boatmen are both knowledgeable and entertaining!. You can also easily walk by the riverside, it took us about 30 mins. The onsite bar is great, very spacious and the food looked good. Huge outdoor screen for the sports fans!

Disliked The shower and toilet blocks look a little dated, but they are perfectly clean and always open. There are plenty of showers, so even though the site was busy there was no problem with availability.

Local attractions

For a change from the river taxi, guests can stroll into Stratford-upon-Avon to take in a play from the Royal Shakespeare Company, have a flutter at the races, or visit the many Shakespeare sights dotted around the city. There’s also excellent retail therapy to be had here, as well as in the elegant surrounding towns of Cheltenham, Royal Leamington Spa and Warwick.
Sporty types will find golf courses, swimming pools and many other facilities nearby, and of course there are plenty of good walking opportunities along the river and out into the lovely Warwickshire countryside. Further along the banks of the Avon are the stately country house of Charlecote Park, and winsome Warwick Castle, which has plenty of things to do and see for all ages. Also nearby are the majestic ruins of Kenilworth Castle, where Robert Dudley and Elizabeth I used to make out; or you could follow in the footsteps of the Gunpowder Plotters of 1605 with a visit to Coughton Court. At the Ragley Hall Estate, visitors can take a tour of the Palladian mansion, go sculpture spotting in the Capability Brown parkland, or lose themselves in the 3D maze. The site is also a great base from which to explore the villages and landscapes of the Cotswolds.
