  • Pet-friendly site on 235 acres of parkland
  • Half an hour's drive from Silverstone
  • Fishing lakes, bars and restaurants
What a whopper of a site. Award-winning activity and fishing centre Billing Aquadrome is a couple of miles from Great Billing in Northamptonshire and set over 235 acres of green parkland and lakes. With so much to do around its grounds, it's likely that you'll want to stay put here for your entire trip… and if you do desire to speed off somewhere, Silverstone is only half an hour's drive away. The site is set an aquadrome surrounded by water, so it has fishing lakes of varying sizes and depths where avid anglers can cast off for carp and common mirror carp, catfish, pike, roach, bream, tench and rudd. Bring along your own fishing kit and an up-to-date licence, and buy a fishing ticket from the team if you want to try your luck. Away from the water, the many other facilities include bars and restaurants (yes, plural, plus a beer garden). Just take note that the bar, beer garden and restaurant are all adults-only from 10pm. There is a seasonal swimming pool on site; one swimming session is permitted per day and has to be booked in advance. And speaking of the essentials... there are takeaways, a supermarket and shops right on site too, as well as picnic areas, Sky Sports and – if you need your barnet tamed after all that activity – a hairdresser's.

What customers say

This large, family-friendly park boasts plenty of activities, especially for kids, like water sports and play areas. Recent investments mean lots of new and improved facilities. Staff are usually friendly and helpful, but some guests noted toilet cleanliness issues, overcrowding, and noise, particularly on busy weekends. Pitch assignments and site organization also got mixed reviews.

Liked Nothing

Disliked The campsite was far too loud, the staff directing us weren't interested and didn't care about anything, our spot was taken, and nobody cared. Our electricity, which we paid for, was simply taken by someone else, the toilets and showers were beyond unsanitary. We were glad we were only there for one night, passing through, and left quickly.

From the manager: Waaaw you didn’t like anything? That’s a real surprise to us, as we’ve been working so hard over the past year to invest back into the park. We’ve developed a number of exciting new areas and our park isn’t just for families with children it’s also a fantastic place for guests who want open spaces, peace, and the stunning surroundings gifted to us by Mother Nature herself.

Our beautiful water locations are a must-see, and our Lake Club is the perfect spot to kick back, relax, take in the views with a drink, or enjoy some of our famous gelato (talked about everywhere it really is that good). Add in our entertainment programme and you’ve got so much to love!

I can promise you, our park is definitely not run down. Of course, there are areas that still need work, but we’re on it we’ll never shy away from hard graft because we know why we’re here: for our holiday guests and owners. It’s in our nature.

I am sorry regarding the touring issues. We have a dedicated touring team to assist guests and we’re looking into why some weren’t placed on the correct pitch my apologies for this. Being a large park, we welcome a wide variety of people, all here to laugh, relax, and make memories together. That’s what it’s all about! As for scooters, we’re also working to ensure improved safety around the park.

Thank you for your feedback we take on board all your comments and will keep working to make the park the very best it can be.

From the manager: Thank you so much for your feedback! We’re thrilled you enjoyed our facilities, plenty of space, and all the fun activities we have on offer. It’s fantastic to hear our guests are considerate and keep things peaceful at night we love a happy, relaxed vibe!

We totally understand wanting to book facilities last minute holiday times are super busy, but we’re always looking for ways to make it easier for everyone to get involved. And yay for the food we’ll pass on the kudos to our amazing catering team .

We can’t wait to welcome you back for another fun-filled stay!

Shelduck (area 3) powered gravel and cement/asphalt travel trailer campsite

Liked Nice big area surrounded by lakes and canals, great for fishing. Plenty space to walk the dogs, however a sprinkle of water on the field could make the grass greener. The pubs and entertainment areas are OK, plenty cold beers and wines, nice staff, however it takes a very long time for ordering and buying pizza in busy periods. The toilets are cleaned at all time, can't say the word sparkling but just below.

Disliked According to the direction of the wind it can be a drainage odor all around, stronger on the shore of Marina and Willow lakes, which is a shame regarding the nice drinking patios. This was preventing me to swimm in Willow lake, however it would help to see displayed info about quality of water at the reception.

From the manager: What fantastic pictures memories being made right there! Our touring team are dedicated to making your stay the very best, so keeping the shower blocks sparkling clean is just a must from us to you. We’ve worked so hard to provide an outstanding entertainment and activities programme, so we’re absolutely thrilled you and your family enjoyed it all that effort is so worth it when we read feedback like this!

From our side, pitches should be hardstanding, grass, or super pitches I’m sorry some guests sometimes get a little too excited with their set-up. Please do always reach out to our Security or Welcome Team if things get too loud or not quite right; they’re always happy to help.

Thank you again for your lovely feedback it’s in our nature to make holidays feel special!

Shelduck (area 2) powered grass travel trailer campsite

Liked We really enjoyed our selves whilst we stayed, so much to do, local to shops pubs.. the parks my son loved and also the pump track. Inflatable slip and slide and bouncy castle was good. The entertainment was really good.

Disliked The attitude of the staff in the entertainment. None of the machines was being filled and we was asking for the 2p machines to be filled so the kids could play them. When we knocked the door a few times to arcade staff room. The lady with blonde hair was sat on her phone everytime. My partner accidently bumped his bag on the older guys shoulder briefly walking past and he was so rude and aggresive. He stated watch what your doing. And my partner said I'm sorry it was my bag I didn't mean to. But there was really no need for that. No one was speed watching people driving around the camp, whilst there's children about and just people generally walking on the roads to get onto there site. Also it states no dogs off leads. I had 2 dogs kept on leads all the time. Yet there was a lot of dogs off the leads, and a lot of dog poo at the back of shelduck 2.. left without being picked up. The train wasn't on this week which we would of loved to have gone on. The swimming pool is great but the slide didn't stay running very long. So everytime we went in my son had about one go on it. This has no put us off our stay, we just hope those things are improved.

From the manager: Thank you so much for your feedback we really do appreciate you taking the time to share your experience. We’ve worked incredibly hard to provide the very best facilities, along with an outstanding activities and entertainment programme. There’s been a huge amount of work going on behind the scenes, and we certainly haven’t stopped there. It’s in our nature to be the best, which is why we continue to push forward with improvements and have invested millions back into the park in just the past year. When we look at how much has been achieved already, we’re proud but also determined to keep going.

I was really surprised to read that you didn’t enjoy our entertainment teams, as they are some of the very best around and are always keen to ensure everyone has the best time. That said, I am very sorry to hear of the rudeness you experienced from some team members. This is not the standard we set, and I will be looking into this as all of our park teams are expected to be helpful and friendly at all times.

Regarding the arcade, this is run by an external company, but I will ensure your comments are passed on to them. I also want to acknowledge your points around speeding vehicles, dogs off leads, and dog mess left behind these are issues we are continually addressing as guest safety and comfort are a priority for us. The train and pool slide are also areas we’ll review to make sure families get the most enjoyment out of their stay.

I’m so pleased you and your family enjoyed the parks, pump track, inflatables, and activities it’s great to hear your son had such fun. We’re glad this hasn’t put you off visiting us again, and I can assure you that we’ll be working hard to improve on the areas you’ve highlighted.

Liked A great place for a weekend with kids, with plenty of attractions and plenty of space. Clean restrooms, and peace and quiet after 10 PM. Two graywater dumps and three or four for chemical disposal, plus multiple drinking water intakes. Reasonable prices.

Disliked no firepit after 10pm.

high prices for some attractions

From the manager: Thank you for your feedback! We’re thrilled you enjoyed a great weekend with the kids and found plenty of space and attractions to keep everyone happy. Our touring teams work hard to ensure everyone is safe after dark, so you can relax knowing we’ve got it covered.

Our park shop is usually fully stocked with everything you could want maybe you came just before a delivery, but we promise it’s normally brimming with goodies! As for prices, we work hard to keep them reasonable for everyone, and our touring area is set up to make your stay as smooth as possible.

We love your comments and can’t wait to welcome you back soon for more fun-filled adventures!
