  • Peaceful site on a working family farm in rural Leicestershire
  • Five minutes' drive to Kilworth House Theatre; Foxton Locks 15 minutes
  • Easy access from the M1; village shop and pub a mile away
Shopping around for somewhere with lovely rural views for your Leicestershire break? Set your compass for Cote Hill Farm Stay, part of a working family farm about a mile from the village of Husbands Bosworth – on a clear day, the views from here stretch out for up to three miles. With a backdrop like that, and a setting where your nearest neighbours will be the cows in the next-door fields, this is a peaceful location indeed – just the thing for a bit of relaxation time for families, couples or small groups. You won’t be far from amenities and things to do, though – there are lots of canal paths, woodland walks and cycle trails around, and you’ll be close to attractions like Stanford Hall and Foxton Locks. Getting to and from the site should be straightforward enough, as the site is only about 10 minutes’ drive from the M1, via a journey that’s almost entirely on an A road. Lutterworth and Market Harborough are both about 10-15 minutes’ drive away for shops and other facilities, but if you don't fancy going that far, it’s handy to have a pub and a convenience store on hand in the local village too. Facilities on site include a washing-up area and a toilet block with showers. Barbecues are permitted if you’d like to try a bit of outdoor cooking.

What customers say

A peaceful, clean, small site with lovely views, especially sunsets. Hosts are friendly, and there's close farm animal access. Facilities are spotless. Campfires aren't allowed. Some think more showers/covered washing-up would be nice at busy times.

Primitive grass tent or RV campsite

Liked Quiet, peaceful and clean. Friendly owners.

Disliked Only one shower, there was 5 pitches taken this day and had to wait over an hour to have a shower, if it was busy would be a nightmare.

From the manager: Thank you for your feedback. We are a small quiet site and it’s extremely unusual to have to wait for 1 hour. I’ve never had that in 4 years, so it’s unfortunate you did, a few people have had to wait 5 minutes max, but sites can be this way when camping, that’s part of the organising. We were quiet that morning and most people had left site. We do have a relaxed departure time, and We have less pitches to make it easier for people to facilitate the shower timing and toilets. Thanks Carolyne

Primitive grass tent or RV campsite

Liked Nice view from the campsite. Toilets and shower were clean and close to our pitch. Easy to pitch up. Pitch was flat. Not too busy. Has a washing up sink outside with washing up liquid.

Disliked Loud music from nearby was heard both evenings (unsure if this was from somewhere other than the campsite). Washing up sink only had cold water.

Shepherd's hut (ensuite)

Liked We were visiting a festival taking place in the village, the location was peaceful and perfect. We had a camping pitch and our friends had a Sheperd’s Hut which was amazing. Due to exceptionally bad weather on the one day we stayed in the Sheperd’s Hut nearly all day playing card games.
Carolynne was really kind and friendly, and even took time out to see if we were all okay and offered recommendations for the village. Thanks so much for having us, would definitely return.

Disliked Not a complaint! Facilities are on the basic side but you have everything you need!
