Such a warm welcome from Sunny Pooh 🍯
Delightful stay again - sun shone, peaceful, immaculate site.
Pot of tea 🫖 on arrival - can’t recommend this site highly enough. We will definitely be back again at some point. It’s one of our faves.
Can highly recommend a trip to Tavistock town - gorgeous independent shops.
The Village Inn - Walk to the pub isn’t far for a bite to eat or a drink. :)

Liked Beautiful, peaceful site. Very well maintained. Friendly and quick response from owner. Reasonable price. Warm welcome with option to pick pitch and a pot of tea served on a tray with a smile. What a gem! We hope to return. The Hartland bay was a real pleasure to find so close by too. Lots of facilities within a fairly short drive. Pub and village walking distance from site.
Disliked Bit of a queue for the loo with only one toilet and shower on site when we stayed. (Doesn’t detract from our wonderful visit on the site at all)

Liked Exceptionally clean washroom block. Easy to locate through the gates at bottom of pub car park.
Lots to explore in local area - we did cheddar gorge, Weston supermare, Burnham on sea, and a couple of local villages, farm shop down the road and lots of local shops on routes to various places. Tom welcomed us with a smile 😊
Disliked Main entrance could do with some updating as gates and posts are rickety and awkward to use padlock entry system. Shower tokens and push button showers (not a fan). Pitches are reddish soil and gravel/ it was quite a mizzly weekend when we went so van and dogs feet got pretty mucky. Gate in bottom corner is not fit for purpose - nightmare to open whilst trying to manage a dog on a lead (no poo bin on this entry/exit which would be very useful)

From the manager: Hi Carriad, thanks for the comments, we are in the process of getting a new gate at the entrance, the bottom gate was actually damaged the day you arrived by someone who elected to climb it instead of opening it nobody reported it to me. The plots have recently been scraped off and because of the amount of rain we have had they haven't had much time to dry properly. The dog walk area is at the bottom of the park and that is why the bin is there. Thanks Tom.

We chose a lovely pitch in a quite spot. Had everything we needed - facilities were immaculate! Ate in Stamford Bridge at Three Cups pub - delicious food and friendly service there too!
The site is well set up and everything is tidy, great dog walking area, recycling area etc
Disliked Slight road noise whilst in our pop top.

Liked Neil welcomed us and was quick to respond to any requests by text or phone. Relaxed atmosphere, chilled owner - who wanted us to be happy, good local amenities - shop, small deli, takeaway food (although we didn’t use this), ice cream parlour, small amusement arcade, small local stream train, excellent rail service within couple of hundred feet of site. Fire pits to hire. good local knowledge from caravan owners who are regularly on site. Easy electric hook up. Excellent refuse and recycling- very regularly emptied. Level pitches. Lots of top ups on hand soap. Good location to explore west / mid Wales. We visited Aberystwyth, Tywyn, Barmouth, Portmerrion Village, Dolgellau ( 10 mile cycle trail to here - all flat), Betws-Y-Coed, lake Bala - so many walks right on doorstep. Beach v close and lots of places to cycle :)
Disliked Shower block and toilets were not cleaned that often, kitchen wash up sink in same area as separate ladies / gents hand wash area so only one gender can do this at a time - we prefer to do chores together.
