Power optional concrete and grass motorhome site
Liked Quiet countryside site near small town.
Disliked There was considerable jeopardy in that, even though there are only 3 pitches, there is only one toilet which also houses the only shower! Last night there were 8 people using the shower so for a considerable period nobody could use the toilet! Added to this, the same toilet serves a restaurant for diners from the local community. Not good!

Liked The Dutch family that run this wooded site are lovely people and are very welcoming. They have a great restaurant and bar area with a lovely outdoor terrace to enjoy with a glass of wine. The food on offer was excellent in the restaurant and there seemed no need to go out to find an alternative.
Disliked Difficult to change in a wooded site but some of the pitches slope a bit too much, hence 4 stars.

Liked A lovely coastal site north of Porto but with a frequent bus service on the same side of the road as the camp entrance which took us to the Porto Metro network for the town centre. A few restaurants locally towards the beach but the on-site restaurant was excellent too! As always the staff were brilliant throughout the site.
Disliked The lighting in the showers and toilets were on a time switch so quite dark during the daytime. Come evening there was some crowding when people were able to see what they were doing. There's a bit of a hike to the Bar and Restaurant which could be made accessible from the shop area but this route was always locked for some reason?

Powered gravel site
Liked A pleasant site in a wooded area outside the town. Very friendly staff with a good shop and restaurant. A short walk into the very pleasant village of Sao Pedro de Moel.
Disliked Many of the pitches were sloping so it was difficult to find a suitable spot particularly as the pitches don't have individual boundaries. This allowed some campers to monopolise water taps and electricity points so you felt you were intruding on their privacy when filling a kettle etc..

Liked Good on-site shop with really cheap Butane gas cylinders compared to UK. A 2.75kg cylinder swap was €19.40. Used local taxi organised by reception to reach ferry into Lisbon but difficult on return, had to use bus from port using Google Maps to ascertain route. A couple of Pizza restaurants nearby were very good.
Disliked In a very built-up area near to flats but I suppose this provided benefits with buses and restaurants.

Liked Very convenient for the North Norfolk Coast. Facilities are good and owners not intrusive to our quiet enjoyment of the site and in-out access was excellent with a small convenience store at the site entrance. Site was great value for money and we would stay again if the opportunity arose. There is an excellent Thai Restaurant/Pub just up the road towards Cromer.
Disliked Nothing to dislike.

Liked Friendly owners and very welcoming. This is a budget site and represents good value for the prices charged. We would have been happy to pay more here for the opportunity to have an electric pitch and better washing facilities.

From the manager: Thank you for your review not sure why are you grade us a 6 for accommodation when is your own accommodation On pitch up we do not offer electric hook ups The only way to book the electric hook ups is through us as we only allow five at any one time Most people book our site because it is a reasonable price if we put in brand-new facilities you would be paying considerably more

Disliked The Men's and Ladies toilet block facilities on the field which tents and campervans use were not available and we had to go to facilities further away which are located with the accommodations which have their own facilities anyway! Seemed Odd!
