Unpowered grass tent site
Liked Flat. Lovely lakeside location with lots of water activities. Toilets and showers were great. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Lovely lamb burgers from the shop. Used the cheap WiFi option and it was satisfactory. Located close to Snowdonia.
Disliked Crowded - but then it is a very popular lakeside site in August!

Unpowered grass tent site (large)
Liked Camped between rows of apple trees. An enjoyable and different experience. I felt in touch with nature. The showers are very basic but whoever did the plumbing is a genius. Great water pressure and instantly hot. They could teach a lot of other sites a thing or two about plumbing.
Disliked Nothing.

Richmond, North Yorkshire, England
Unpowered grass tent or trailer tent site
Liked Lovely site. Small and level. Close to Richmond. This was our second visit and we will probably come again. There is a massive camping and caravanning shop about 2 miles away (Leisureworld) which had the best camping and caravanning range we have ever seen!
Disliked One toilet and shower for men and one toilet and shower for women. Even so, we never had to queue so it worked for us. They were clean and well looked after.

Driffield, East Yorkshire, England
Unpowered grass tent site
Liked One of the best! Located in what looked like it used to be the walled garden of a country mansion. Toilets were excellent. Small shop on site. Beautifully kept. Pitches were flat with some on a slight slope. Slightly more expensive but worth it. Freezer for freezing blocks. Popular site so book in advance. It was breezy when we visited and the walls gave good protection. This was the best site on our touring holiday.

Liked Remote and beautiful location near Semer Water. Nice large marked pitches - each with a stone surrounded fire pit and wood for sale. Showers and toilets are clean modern and good. Owner was very friendly. Freezer available for freezer blocks.

Liked Fantabulous location on the side of a valley (some level pitches some on a slight slope) . Great Bacon sandwiches and coffee in the morning - with a little van on site. Clean modern toilets/showers. We had to contend with storm Floris - that was fun! Waterfall and café within easy walking distance.
Disliked Water pressure problem with the showers - needs fixing.

Bude, Cornwall, England
Unpowered grass tent site
Liked Very friendly and helpful owner. Good clean toilets and showers. It gave us a good central location to cover Cornwall and west Devon on our days out. Pub about 300 yards away! We will go back.
Disliked The weather! We had a lot of wind and rain in our week - but managed to stay dry and still enjoy our holiday! We are British after all.
