Liked We love a site which is away from noise and surrounded by fabulous views with great hikes and this site is just that and more.
The facilities are amazing. They're of a high standard, clean and well thought out. The grass pitches are not delineated but theres so much space that this is not an issue. We have a dog and there are great walks accessed straight from the site where he could be off lead. The site is windy as its quite elevated but that didn't bother us. The host was very friendly and helpful. Its just a short drive into the lovely town of Skipton.

Liked Beautiful setting. Friendly staff. Jessica in reception was particularly helpful. We arrived during a torrential storm. The toilet and shower block was completely flooded, unusable.I couldn’t get in touch with reception however the next morning I spoke to Jessica in reception and the problem was sorted straight away. There’s some great walks straight from the campsite. The pitches are marked out by trees.
Disliked The toilet and shower block are very basic and need upgrading. The dish washing area is also very basic with no hot water and graffiti on the walls. This also needs upgrading.

Liked The pitches were generous grass pitches surrounded by trees. This is a picturesque site which is ideally situated when visiting Lourdes and hiking in the hills. The facilities were very clean and the site is small and quiet. There’s a lovely walk around Lac du Lourdes which is near the site. We also did a strenuous but fantastic walk Chemin du Beout on the edge of Lourdes. This was a great walk for the dog as he was off lead.

Liked Leaving
Disliked We arrived but couldn’t find anyone at all. The pitches are very narrow and the site itself looked liked it needed a good clear out as there were piles of what appeared to be scrap next to the pitches. We just couldn’t stay here. We quickly decided to leave and try and find another site but unfortunately again couldn’t find any one to let them know. I rechecked the photos and map to make sure we were definitely at the right place and yes we were.

Liked Patrick and his wife were very welcoming and helpful. Their house is only 15 minutes walk from a local lake which is lovely for walks. The only facilities are an electric hook up. Unfortunately we arrived in our small campervan which has no sanitation facilities so Patrick and his wife kindly let us use their private bathroom. Pitch up advertises that there is a laundrette available (one of our main reasons for booking the pitch). However this is not the case and again Patrick’s wife kindly let me use their own machine and dryer. They could not have been more accommodating.
Disliked The pitch is on Patrick’s driveway infront of the garage and the house is on a suburban street. This is not a campsite. We had to
pay double the advertised fee as we used extra facilities which are not usually available.

From the manager: Hello, Thank you for your comment and rating. We are glad that you were able to enjoy our services and appreciated our hospitality. It is true that upon our reopening in March, not all of our services are available, and we are still letting nature rest by leaving some areas undeveloped. We hope that this will allow insects, birds, etc., to find their food and thrive. Hope to see you soon again !

Liked Lovely pitches. Great facilities for winter camping. Great walks straight from the site which is ideal for those travelling with a dog. Reception sells essentials like milk and wine. There are 2 friendly goats and a dog which wander around the site in the afternoons😊 The site is on the corbieres wine trail and we visited local vineyards which was a highlight of our trip so far.
There’s a small shop in Bizanet which is about a 10 minute walk away.
