Liked A great site. We spent 2 nights in a cabin. Staff were great and cabin was clean and well presented. This was great value. This was at end of season but indoor pool was open and welcome. A lovely place.

Unpowered grass tent site
Liked The site is basic and the listing is totally honest in this regards. It has a tap and a toilet. The toilet is described on the listing as a portaloo, when in fact it is far better than this.
A great welcome from Andrew and advice on where to shop and eat etc was provided.
Andrew has great plans for the development of this site and I'm sure it will go from strength to strength.
Although some road noise, the fantastic views along the nearby Coastal path more than makes up for this.
I would return again and I plan to.
Disliked Road noise (although I was there for Ironman event which was the cause of the extra traffic).

Unpowered grass site
Liked What a fantastic find.
A beautiful location with several ponds and one teaming with fish.
A warm welcome and the animals are a treat (to see, not eat).
Ducks, chickens, horses and a tiny cute pony, donkey (he/she acts like a cockerel to make you aware that dawn has arrived) and Alpaca's.
Home made Pizza looks fab and is very well priced.
Open all year and I can't wait to go back.
The staff are superb! Thanks all, see you soon!
Disliked The Welsh weather. But the good news is, one side of the field is in England, the other in Wales!

Unpowered grass and earth site
Liked Liked the fact that the camp site described exactly what it is.
If you want glamping then head for the Camping & Caravan Club site at the end of the village.
If you want a field to camp in a short walk from a fantastic pub and at a great price then this is your place.
The owners are very friendly and relaxed and you're left alone to enjoy your time. Open fires are welcome and firewood is available from the house at £5 a bag. £5 is the usual camp site prices but you get a decent size bag of DRY wood that will burn.
No "Off by 11am" rules so packing up is more relaxed and no prescribed camping pitches.
The long-drop toilets are not for everyone so be warned.
Myself and my friends will visit again and would say a big thanks to the owners.
Disliked I dislike people leaving negative reviews when they obviously haven't read the description of the site.

From the manager: Thank you very much for your review, We are pleased you enjoyed your stay. Also thank you for your comments about negative reviews. We try to make it very plain in our advertising that this is real camping, and as you very kindly pointed out there is a Camping and Caravan site at the other end of the Village.
South Brent, Devon, England
Liked Loved the setting and the facilities were spotlessly clean. A kettle, washing machine and tumble dryer were just some of the items available to make your stay easier.
Lovely woodland walks to be had on the site and the addition of open fires adds to the camping experience.
Whilst we stayed in Oct half term, we received a warm welcome and were shown our pitch which we were allowed to change.
Great service.
Had our stay cut short due to child illness but we will return.
Disliked Nothing to dislike but if I were being picky.........£4 for a bag of soggy, dripping wood offcuts was not great value. I went to Trago Mills and bought some decent firewood.
