What customers say
This quiet bush campsite offers a 'wild camping' vibe with top-notch facilities. Campers rave about the roomy, private sites amongst the trees, handy amenities like clean showers and loos, and a well-stocked on-site shop. It's a great base for exploring the local countryside and sights, with a ripper pub only a stroll away. Many punters mention the friendly staff and laid-back vibe, with heaps planning to come back.

Unpowered forest floor tent site (wild)
Liked Really great location, brilliantly landscaped. Lots to do in the local area. Good sized pitches with firepits on the forest floor. Friendly staff, with a little shop to buy firewood and essentials. Nice addition of a fridge, freezer, microwave, kettle and toaster in the kitchen area. A short walk in to the village of Rattery where there is a lovley old inn to have food and drinks at. Recommended 👍
Disliked Our pitch was very muddy, not any fault of the business as was typical bank holiday weather.

perfectly fine. It was fine but i wouldn't say its great.
Power optional grass and gravel caravan site
Liked quiet. nice forest. not far from the main road.
warm showers.
Has the basic facilities as you'd expect
Disliked needs reinvestment. very run down in comparison to other sites in the same price bracket in Devon. The gravel roads need re graveling as they're muddy, laundry room only excepted old £1 coins apparently (that was 2017). didn't have any to hand so didn't bother using it and the shop was shut pretty much the entire time we were there.

Excellent clean, well kept peaceful woodland haven
Power optional grass and gravel caravan site
Liked A lovely peaceful well kept campsite. Had great communication before and during my stay with all the info needed to get there and where to pitch up. Great warm showers in a heated room - amazing. Plenty of flushing toilets aroud the reception area - one large enough to bring my dog in with me too. There are also Compost toilets dotted around the outer parts in the woods which was handy when out waking in the woods. There's also a kettle, toaster, microwave and fridge and freezer for use which was handy to boil water for a cuppa as my gas fire wasn't up to par. Would definitely recommend coming here. There is also a lovely walk to the local village hrougb the woods and ior county road, with a pub.

Great ‘private dining’ experience 3 minutes away ‘The Mill retreat’
Shepherd's hut
Liked That it was a self contained unit, with kitchenette, bed, table and chairs and bijou bathroom. The bed was comfy. Liked the pile of land that came with the shepherds hut, fire pit and outdoor seating area
Disliked Had issue checking in as unmanned check in Sept - March. Hot water was Luke warm, shower had no pressure with Luke warm water. So, we used the main shower block
Could have done with a toaster, chopping board and scissors in the kitchenette (note no oven or hob, hob supplied on request though)
