notch food pub at entrance

the site was lovely and quiet, probably due to the time of the year. The toilet block was lovely and clean and we loved the security of the barriers. We did use the pub for breakfast, which was lovely. The warden was lovely and the staff at the pub were friendly.

I would recommend this campsite, there was a path to walk along the river however it was far too muddy to walk on this occasion.

the pitch was quite small, even for our van (6m) so anything bigger wouldn't have been able to park up. We did notice 2 longer pitches, which would suit a longer van, but the pitches could do with being a bit wider. No TV signal at all. Wifi worked but wasn't very strong. We managed, as the site was quiet, but could be a problem if it was busier.

Stayed on pitch 16 which was at the bottom of the site and farthest from the road. Very quiet and secluded spot. Meal at the George was typical pub fare and ok. We were impressed by the shower block which was well maintained and spotlessly clean.

Take wellies as walk along riverside quite muddy when wet. No shops within walking distance as site on a busy road, so you are out of luck if you have forgotten any provisions and have no other transport.

Bathrooms were lovely and clean warm with lots of hot water for showers .

Was a lovely site by the river. Great walk for the dogs, into the woods and all ng the river into slim bridge if you want to walk that far. The George pub. On site is fabulous. Good food too. A very pleasant winter stay although a little muddy but to be expected I. Dec. Facilities were very good. Family bathrooms etc. would go again.

Flat hard standing pitch with great shower/toilet facilities. Good security. Warden available, pub close by. Flexible regarding leaving site late when requested. Close to the river and lovely walks.

Area available in the pub for dogs was small.

Everything ,showers and toilets spotless. The lady that showed us in went above and beyond

Easily accessible from the M5. Greeted by a member of staff on arrival and departure. Nice pub, good food and service. Peaceful site separate from pub and very secure. Clean separate bathrooms. Good facilities. Nice river side walk on doorstep.
