Liked Exceptional! I've stayed in around 8 campsites over the last couple of years this one by far was the very best, every little detail had been thought of. I was overwhelmed and so grateful for the experience I extended my stay, which I hadn't done before and felt fully rested and restored to continue my adventures. All for £17/night (£20 inc electricity) for a tent.

Incredibly clean throughout with large pitches. I felt very safe as a female solo camper.

The toilets and showers were not just immaculate but well designed with an endearing cottage boutique style. Showers were nice and hot, perfect for Autumn camping when it gets cold at night.

The site was so quiet and peaceful I slept really well.

The reception area in the Chateaux had a delightful selection local jams and wines for sale and you can also order your baguette and croissant for the following morning. There was also a nice seating area outside for coffee or snacks in the evening.

I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw the outdoor spa; a relaxation pool, jacuzzi, sauna, sunbeds and my favourite, a steam room. After a long tiring journey this was simply heaven sent. Despite it being the end of the season the owners turned it on for me and I had a beautiful afternoon of 5 star luxury for 12e, which I thought was very reasonable.

They also had good wifi with a games room and TV area as well as bookable work-space units with air con.

I really liked the bins being kept away from pitches and toilet's/showers.

The owners were very welcoming and professional, I felt looked after.

My only recommendation is possibly for night lights along the pitches?

The locals in the nearby town with a supermarket were friendly and helpful too.

I would definitely come again!

From the manager: Ours is a countryside campsite with natural, uneven terrain, as we aim to keep the setting as natural as possible. Herbicides are prohibited, so we have to learn to live with that—and with a few weeds 😅 (the same applies in towns). We do take your feedback into account. We look forward to seeing you again.

Liked Huge, quiet pitch in great campsite. Nice reception and terrace for drinks; food available; bread and croissants to order.
Lovely walk/cycle into Les Anderlys and up to the Chateau Gillaird (about an hour each way).

Disliked No soap in women’s toilets for handwashing.

Liked Good sized (large) pitch with power. Clean modern toilet and shower block. Bread available in the morning (if booked the night before). Food (single choice but good) served in the evening. Walkable to Les Andelys and Chateau Gaillard.

From the manager: È un peccato non comunicare prima di esprimere le proprie lamentele. La sauna viene accesa su richiesta per evitare di riscaldarla tutto il giorno, per ragioni che sicuramente comprenderete, e la scarsa illuminazione del campeggio è dovuta al fatto che il nostro villaggio è un "Villaggio Stellare" (certificato per il suo cielo buio); manteniamo l'illuminazione al minimo per garantire che le stelle rimangano visibili e libere dall'inquinamento luminoso.

Liked Spacious private pitch — very large, peaceful and offered excellent privacy.
Private facilities — a great convenience and made the stay feel more comfortable.
Helpful communication — staff kept in touch promptly and were proactive in updating us.

Disliked Maintenance issues with the private facilities led to an unpleasant smell. Follow‑up leak occurred shortly after the initial fix; cleaners identified it and staff contacted us by voicemail and email to confirm further repairs.
Early departure — despite the team’s efforts, the smell persisted and we chose to leave one night earlier than planned.
