What customers say
This well-kept, friendly spot offers peaceful camping with heaps of room. Guests love the clean facilities (nice touch with the toiletries!) and the handy location near orchard walks and shops. Great value and welcoming staff get a shout-out too. Just a heads-up, there are a fair few permanent residents.

Unpowered grass tent or trailer tent site
Liked When i arrived (later then expected, stressed with being stuck in traffic). The guy at the reception cheered me up really welcoming, loved his banter ( sorry didnt get your name).
The site was lovely, spacious pitches very well kept, clean and tidy and plenty of places to walk my dog when it stopped raining.
There are a few permanent residents on site but that didnt bother me, everyone that I met was very friendly.
The toilet/ shower block clean and I thought it was a lush touch with the extra toiletries if you had forgotten to bring them with you.

Would visit again
Unpowered grass caravan site
Liked Large spacious field next to a lovely orchard walk and cafes nearby. Relaxed and quiet during our stay. Site is remote but does have a village nearby.
Disliked Nothing to dislike. We didnt ask or look for a drive over grey waste so not sure if they have one.

In general the camp is clean…
Power optional grass tent or trailer tent site
Liked In general the camp is clean and tidy and staff friendly and helpful. On the whole our experience was a good one, but this camp does cater for all, holiday campers as well as long term site users, some of which may be residential?
Disliked Showers could be improved.
Spray heads on some were blocked and needed replacing.
Cubicles were small so not easy to keep clothing dry when getting dressed with soaking wet floor, made worse by shower user next door’s water flowing into mine.

Extremely happy

Liked Excellent pitch, facilities, warm welcome, secure location. And the cherry on top, was the cost of staying, which was outstanding value. A big thank you West Down Touring and Camping Park

Ok for a quick stop but don't expect anything other than a pitch
Power optional concrete slab caravan site
Liked Staff were nice
Disliked Lots of long term people who clearly live on site, women showers were cold , it's ok and cheap electric but has zero facilities on site to eat, (other than expensive shops where you pay £1.20 for a can) , not so pitches have water

Lucky to get a last minute…
Unpowered grass caravan site
Liked Lucky to get a last minute bank holiday weekend stay here - non lecy campervan pitch in the lower field so nice and peaceful next to the orchard all for £16 per night. Slept like a log for 10 ten hours both nights! A friendly welcome on arrival, 10 minute walk to the Royal Oak pub at Over Stratton where we had a lovely meal out. BBQs allowed, no marked pitches, clean shower block. Mainly season pitch holders but all friendly and a nice level of respect about. Our perfect kind of site.
Disliked Nothing
