General

  • Family-run park with spectacular sea views
  • Heated indoor and outdoor pools, gym, bar and restaurant
  • Sauna, steam room, crazy golf, nature trails, adventure playgrounds...

Ever wanted to pitch up near Paignton – but ensure perfect sea views and proximity to a long long sandy beach just minutes away by your very own feets? Behold Beverley Park, a site of spectacular scenery less than a mile from the sands and rockpools of beaut Broadsands beach – and with heaps of on-site holiday stuff included to boot.

Parkwise, you might want to start off in the sauna, steam room and hot tub region (or possibly one of the heated outdoor pools), then read the papers at the poolside café, then have steak or fish and chips (or both) along with a cocktail or a glass of wine (or both) among the views of the Upperdeck bar, restaurant and terrace…

But... everyone is different. So if your tastes lean towards the energetic/ambitious instead, you'll probably prefer the tennis courts, table tennis and crazy golf to get crazily competitive at, or the gym to stay in shape, or a race around site with the kids on the letterboxing and nature trails...

Families bedding down at Beverley are also catered for: kids have outdoor adventure playgrounds to get creative at, along with kids' clubs, paddling pools, soft play, family amusements and an indoor children's room, while the daytime activity programme gets the family involved in a nicely tempting array of activities from water zorbing to beach rambles.

More? Yet more Beverley Park facilities and amenities include the Gallery café and takeaway, Starlight bar, shop, launderette, free hot showers and family bathrooms.

Please note

The outdoor swimming pool is open between 29/04 and 30/09 (subject to weather conditions).

Under 18s must be accompanied by their parents or legal guardians.

Commercial vehicles (vehicles used for work related purposes, carrying goods or fare-paying passengers) and sign-written vehicles are not permitted on site.

Facilities/activities including tennis, crazy golf, table tennis and gym are subject to extra charges payable on arrival.

The indoor swimming pool is open between 01/01 and 31/12.

Single-sex bookings of 3 or more people (couples and immediate family members excepted) are not permitted via Pitchup.com.

    Lovely location, beautiful views.
Very clean and good bathroom facilities, nice showers, hairdryers.
Nice washing up area with hot water.
    Plenty of water points about.
    Landscaping lovely and tidy.

    Disliked:

Pizza offer nights - first time we tried they'd stopped taking orders because they couldn't cope. The second time we called and ordered ahead, which still took 45 minutes, and another 10minutes wait when we arrived to collect.
Takeaway never had any items ready so more waiting! Wouldn't expect this in peak season.
Bar staff weren't very customer focused, too busy chatting the each other! (Female)

Lovely park, amazing views, toilet blocks were spotless (and warm) with plenty of (free) hot water.
All staff, from the people at reception, to the gardeners and cleaning staff were friendly and helpful.

Entertainment was great, we don't normally go in for that kind of thing, but thought we'd give it a go. Felt a bit sorry for the guys at Ocean Bar, (Dan and Charley) as we went well out of season so they only had a crowd of 7 to perform to, but give them their due, they kept us entertained for the evening.

Being escorted to our pitch was useful as the escort was able to point out ameneties to us.

Gardeners took extra care to move our electric cable out of the way and avoid our tent guy wires when mowing the grass nearby.

I cant score for WiFi as we didnt look for one (not sure if they had it or not) but there was a strong 4G O2 signal across the site.

    Disliked:

There was nothing we didnt like about the site, the only drawback, is that it is at the top of a steep hill, so is a bit of a walk back if you have been out in Paignton. But - the views compensate for this!

Great, a well laid out site. Clean facilities and good sized pitches 16/07/2017

Reviewer's country: United Kingdom Allan F. Mobile phone icon Confirmed

  • Electric grass trailer tent or tent pitch

  • Liked:

The site is well laid out and the pitch size was more than sufficient. The shower facilities were clean whenever we used them and the check in process was smooth, with the staff friendly and helpful. Generally we enjoyed our stay and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the site to others.

    Disliked:

The timer on the showers seemed too short and if I were to suggest an improvement it would be to increase the time the shower is active for each push of the button.

had a good welcome and the location of pitch was good

    Disliked:

was kicked of after one night for 'being loud " was with sister's and nieces celebrating my 51st birthday, was spoken to rudely and was refused refund for 2nd night forcing us to find somewhere else at short notice, we was only laughing and talking ,wasn't aggressive or playing loud music, we had to endure kids screaming and shouting but didn't complain, we have been here on numerous occasions and acted no differently without complaint.

Local attractions

Beverley Park is within easy driving distance of several Devon days out and activities for all weathers, whether you want to take it easy browsing around award-winning attractions, dive into beach days and watersports, delve into the options of Dartmoor National Park or let the kids loose on the many family days out around the region.

Kids into creatures can plead for days at Paignton Zoo Environmental Park just over a mile from Beverley Park, Living Coasts within four or Pennywell Farm at Buckfastleigh nine miles away.

If history is more their thing (ha), they can try trips to the likes of Babbacombe Model Village and the Victorian street and model railway of Bygones history museum, both at Torquay.

The park is close to the tiptop Devon towns of Torquay, Brixham, Torbay and Totnes; Dartmouth (ships! castle!) is about eight miles away for a day out then a Dartmouth Steam Railway trip puffing gently back to Paignton.

Go underground for some time among the prehistoric and cavernous caves of Torquay's award-winning Kents Cavern, first discovered in the 16th century and the inspiration for local resident Agatha Christie's tome The Man in the Brown Suit back in 1924.

And if you really want to make a splash with the kids, arrange for a day out at Splashdown Quaywest Waterpark, near your site home back in Paignton.
