The pre-pitched tents

  • Stunningly scenic glampsite with ocean views towards Lundy Island
  • South West Coast Path five minutes’ walk; Clovelly 15 minutes drive
  • Pre-pitched bell tents with kitchenettes; watersports kit hire on site
Seeking beachside days and scenic strolls along cliffs? Fancy days swimming, sailing or surfing? Get yourselves to Livit Adventures Glamping, surrounded by greenery in the grounds of Westacott Farm, five minutes’ drive from the Abbotsham village in Devon. A top destination for coastal breaks, this family-friendly glampsite also has spectacular Atlantic views to Lundy Island, and is only five minutes’ walk from the South West Coast Path. Pretty much all the basics are provided in spacious, pre-pitched bell tents, which come in two options – basic and deluxe. The luxury glamping tents are named after landmarks you can see from the site (Clovelly, Lundy, Baggy…) and sleep up to four; they come set up with king-size proper beds, bedding, towels, table and chairs, and each has private decking where you can put your feet up while admiring the sea views. Individual kitchenettes, firepits and barbecues are provided too. Also sleeping up to four, the basic pre-pitched bell tents are supplied with camp beds, camp chairs and a central light so you can see what you’re doing after dark. If you go for this option, you’ll need to bring bed linen, towels and cooking equipment from home. Be sure to bring plenty of bedding as North Devon can get chilly overnight – in fact, the units all have flooring and rugs to add a little comfort and warmth underfoot. There’s a shared cooking shelter for creating camping meals (using your own equipment) if the weather is being particularly British. Otherwise you can hire firepits if you fancy a bit of alfresco barbecuing – and there are pizza nights on Saturdays too. Toilets, hot showers and washing facilities are found at the entrance to the top field, so everything you need is within easy reach.

What customers say

This friendly, family-run campsite has comfy, well-equipped bell tents and a peaceful vibe. Reviewers rave about clean facilities and helpful hosts. Guests loved the extras and tasty breakfast/pizza. Some found pubs a bit far, but it's well-placed for attractions. Off-grid means keeping things cool can be tricky, but ice blocks are available. Road signs could be better.

Bell tent

Liked Glamping tents, space, the site and cleanliness

Disliked Lack of water in the main shower blocks once the first people have been for a shower, this also means the drinking water can slow right down for a little while.
Also electric charging at glamping isn’t really an option

Bell tent (deluxe)

Liked Mark and the team were extremely accommodating and welcoming. We stayed in a deluxe tent with its own kitchenette which was very well equipped with everything we needed. The shower facilities are good with separate cubicles with a toilet and basin. Lovely hot showers every morning! Although we didn’t use it, there is a sauna on site and the restaurant offered breakfast sandwiches on the weekend which was lovely. We found it to be a very family friendly site with great views over the ocean and Lundy island. We had a wonderful stay and looking forward to visiting Livit again.

Bell tent (deluxe)

Liked Lovely location, great facilities, pizza was fantastic! Very peaceful and well spaced pitches. Bell tents were very well set up and perfect for a family of four with two younger children. Great location, central to pretty much anything you want, beach, wakepark, walking. The deluxe tents are absolutely perfect for just throwing some clothes in the car and heading off! Will most definitely stay again!

Bell tent

Liked Lovely spot for camping or clamping with teas, coffees and hot chocs in morning. There are other services we didnt use like a sauna. If you can get the dulux bell tents.

Disliked Not sure if there was a camp shop or not but if there was no idea where it was.
