Unpowered grass campervan, tent or trailer tent site
Liked Small quiet site, lovely helpful owners. Everyone on the site was friendly and there were plenty of dogs to pet (always a plus for me). The facilities were immaculate and it was really easy to contact them about replenishing loo roll etc. I would absolutely recommend this site to others and will likely use again next time I'm down in Kent.

Worth the money most definitely
Unpowered grass campervan, tent or trailer tent site
Liked Firstly Emily was so lovely, made the check in and stay very welcoming!
Small touches such as free drinking water, being able to buy drinks on site, provided towels in the shower and gave me a paving slab to put my disposable bbq on. Very helpful in accommodating my big tent without extra charge!
Disliked The walk to the shower and toilet facilities was a little further than ideal but they were very clean!

Great site
Powered caravan site
Liked What a lovely spot. Big green level field with individual gravel pitches with plenty of space between sites to spread out. Washroom facilities were fab. Showers were some of the largest I've seen on a campsite and complimentary bath mats as well. Toilets were excellent and had a lovely quirky decoration features.
Disliked I'm being picky would would have been nice to have had a grate for emptying grey waste into. Romney marsh isn't beat served by taxis at night.

My stay at Jessamine’s campsite was…
Powered caravan site
Liked My stay at Jessamine’s campsite was not quite the quiet, peaceful weekend that I had expected. When we first arrived, everything seemed fine. However, over the next few hours, a large group arrived consisting of approximately six couples and around ten children spread across four or five large caravans.
This was through no fault of the campsite itself, but there was no dedicated play area for the children, so they spent much of their time playing ball games around the centre of the site, as well as riding an electric scooter around the campsite. Some of the adults also joined in with the ball games and were very loud whilst playing. As the campsite is relatively small, I was concerned that my vehicle or camping setup could be damaged by stray balls over the course of the weekend.
Naturally, some level of noise is to be expected on any campsite, and I have no issue with people chatting and enjoying themselves. However, the noise levels were quite high for much of the stay, and there was also a considerable amount of swearing, which is not something I particularly enjoy being around.
At one point, the site owner did ask the group to move some of their additional vehicles to the designated car park, as there were so many cars around their pitches that the area was beginning to resemble a car park. From my pitch, it certainly felt quite crowded.
I did not stay for the full duration that I had paid for. I had originally booked and paid for a two-night stay, but after the first night I decided to leave early and forgo the second night, as the atmosphere simply was not what I had hoped for.
Overall, this experience was not really what I was looking for from a campsite break. I want to stress that this was not the fault of the campsite or its management, who appeared to be doing their best. In fact, the toilet and shower facilities were absolutely immaculate and are a real credit to the site. The site itself was well maintained, but the overall atmosphere created by the number and behaviour of some guests was not to my taste and, as a result, I would not choose to stay there again.
