Liked: - Friendly welcome
- Location
- Lovely pub nearby
Disliked: - The facilities are extremely basic. Only amenities were shower and toilet block, which were not permanent structures
- Showers were out of action during our stay due to issues in the area. Whilst this cannot be helped, there was no acknowledgement of this
- Toilets not cleaned regularly
- Grass was not cut which led to soggy feet!

From the manager: Hi Emma,
Thankyou for taking the time to leave us a review.
Our amenities are what we advertise and also include a washing up area and water onsite. So showers and toilets weren't the only facilities. The toilets and showers are the best trailers in the area and on clean water unlike "portaloos" so I wouldn't class them as "extremely" basic and from other reviews people really like them.
Showers were out of use for 5 hours one night because the water had burst somewhere in the area leaving over 3000 homes out of water and lots of restaurants and pubs had to close during this period. This was out of our control and was not a fault with our site or equipment, we did have a member of staff outside the showers to explain the situation and we got them back on as soon as we possibly could.
The toilets were cleaned regularly but with the wet weather the floors never stay the cleanest due to muddy boots etc. This is something that can not be helped.
With the grass we left it slightly longer for this weekend due to the forecast and short grass would just end up getting to wet to quick. We are pleased we did because the ground is looking really good and it worked really well and is being cut this afternoon now the weather is set to improve.
Hope I have addressed all your points in your review. We work extremely hard to keep our campsite tidy and enjoyable for visitors.
Kind Regards

Liked: Absolutely stunning view and wild feel, simple but clean shower/toilet block, plenty of space
Firepits allowed and sold on site
Disliked: Do feel it’s slightly more pricey, especially compared to some sites that have much more facilities in a proper holiday park, by comparison it is just a field with a toilet block
