What customers say
This wild camping spot gets props for its stunning forest setting, roomy sites, and chill vibe. Walkers and cyclists love the direct trail access. Wardens are always a legend. While the basic facilities are no secret, some reckon it's a bit steep for what you get. Minor noise from bikes/road and a few off-leash dogs were mentioned.

Loved the site, will definitely revisit. Loved the back to basics
Unpowered concrete and grass site
Liked Location, excellent. Beautiful, clean, quiet. Zero facilities but this is clearly stated on the website. Lotz to like about this place. Wardens are also very helpful and friendly which gives a sense of safety
Disliked Wouldn’t call it a dislike, more of an inconvenience, but the gate access was as chained gate with a padlock. Info for the site said please lock behind you, so obviously some folk left open as they came and left, but it was a pain. Nice and quirky in a sense to have to open the gate and have to self serve, but got old quick.

Brilliant absolutely Brilliant
Unpowered concrete and grass site
Liked We arrived, with no issues the warden came over and checked that everything was OK and said if we had any issues to just give him a call on the phone number provided, ( we thought that this was a lovely)
The site was so so peaceful however it did get busy towards the start of the weekend.
But there's plenty of space for all to enjoy. Definitely will be returning sometime..

Over priced public space. Not a campsite
Unpowered concrete and grass site
Liked The first 5 minutes of arrival , lots of space and peace and quiet.
Disliked #1 The price ! £22 to stay in an open public park with no facilities or privacy.
#2 Being woken up to a football being kicked against my van.
#3 The amount of cyclists and members of the public congregating next to my van.
#4 No privacy whatsoever as campers are allowed to pitch wherever.

Unpowered concrete and grass site
Liked I stayed here for one night as a stopover on way down to Devon and really enjoyed it. Beautiful surroundings, feeling of safety despite only 2 other vans on site. Huge, beautiful open space with trails all around, good basic facilities and very accessible to the motorway to continue my journey.
