Liked We came as a big group and had the best time! The owner is lovely, feeding the animals is a great touch that could have easily been charged for but was free for all the children on site to join in, very well maintained site. Will definitely be back ⭐️
Disliked We didn’t dislike anything the only thing I would change if I was being really picky is just hot water at the washing up point but is more than manageable ☺️

It was lovely to meet you all and I'm so glad you and your extended group enjoyed your stay here and meeting the animals! We really appreciate your feedback and note your suggestion regarding hot water at the wash up point - we're working on a plan to further develop this area for next season. We're on it, thank you!

Family friendly! There was an even a little toy tractor the kids could play on.
Animals that you could go and see in the morning, the owner was really friendly and informative.

You make an entirely valid point about recycling. I will definitely ensure we include these facilities for next season. We have lots of other improvements planned too and feedback such as this is invaluable. Hope to see you again soon.
Lovely family friendly campsite

Liked We spent two nights at this campsite and absolutely loved it. The site is peaceful, safe, and perfect for a relaxing family stay. The owner is a truly wonderful person – he welcomed us warmly, showed us around, and took the time to chat and share lots of interesting tips about the area, including what to see, where to eat, and hidden local gems.
In the morning, our daughter was invited to help feed the goats, chickens, and sheep – she said this was the best campsite we've been to this year (and we’ve stayed at quite a few!).
We definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a calm, family-friendly getaway. We’ll surely be back!

From the manager: Hi Monika
We loved reading your review and thank you so much for taking time to do this!
Here at Primrose smallholding, our campsite is very simple but we try our best to make it a place where families (or indeed solo campers) can sit back, relax and watch the world go by. We are so glad you enjoyed your stay with us and we hope to see you again soon. We need your help to feed those goats LOL!
A great rural and quiet campsite close to Hereford city.
Unpowered grass tent or trailer tent site
Liked I enjoyed my stay here whilst I attended events at the 3 choirs festival in Hereford (was I the only attendee being accommodated in a tent?!). I chose it for its proximity to the city and I am a seasoned camper. The site had everything I needed. The owner was super helpful and friendly. The pitch was level; a real bonus for tent camping and the site very spacious (no pitch size restriction and no marked out pitches). The facilities were more than you could usually expect on a pop up site. This would usually be only water and chemical disposal point (cdp). Here there was a washing up sink, 2 portatoilets (chemical) (but no cdp), free hot shower. There were also lots of games and children activities including goat and sheep feeding.

Liked Everything. Stayed for 2 nights with my 4 kids and we loved it here. The open space was brilliant. The toilets were clean. There's a shower but we didn't use that. A clean sink and drinking water. The highlight was feeding the animals in the morning. The goats, sheep, chickens and guinea pigs! And my kids loved collecting their own eggs for breakfast.
Paul the owner was very welcoming and friendly. Excellent value for money and we would like to return next year!
Disliked Nothing to dislike.

From the manager: Hello Hannah
Thank you so much for your lovely feedback and detailed review! So glad your children enjoyed themselves helping out with the animal feeding. Our pop up campsite doesn't have all the bells and whistles of fully serviced sites but we do our best to make our campers stay relaxing and somewhere where children can play safely and keep off their phones / tablets for a day or two! Thank your for adding your pictures to this review. Super helpful!
Hope to see you again next year.
Quiet, spacious site with the chance to feed the animals.
