What customers say
Peaceful Peak District spot near Buxton & Bakewell. Friendly owners, clean amenities, level pitches get a thumbs up. Pub & donkeys a bonus. Facilities are basic but good value. Watch for occasional cleanliness hiccups & road noise.

Unpowered grass tent site
Liked The campsite was very quiet, which made for a peaceful stay – perfect for getting some rest without too much noise or disruption. At just £10 a night, it was definitely good value for money and ideal for a simple trip. It had the basics you need and was easy to access, which made it convenient overall.
Disliked The site itself was quite small, which meant we were pitched very close to another tent, however it’s decent for a short, budget-friendly trip.

Unpowered grass tent site
Liked The chilled nature of the campsite
Working toilets, shower and dishwashing facilities
The location and how accessible Buxton and Bakewell are.
Camp owner seemed friendly enough, welcomed us to the site and left us to it - exactly the kind of environment I wanted.
Fellow campers were friendly too
The donkeys are a welcome site to see in the morning too!
Disliked Sure, the showers and toilets were a little muddy, but it is a campsite with hikers using it so it is to be expected, that being said, maybe a freshen up each day wouldn't go amiss - just a quick wipe down and mop would do the trick!

Liked The site is amazing
We booked at 18.45 as a last minute booking arrived at 19.15
We were on pitch for only 5 minutes when owner came to make sure we were ok and even sorted us out with £1 coins for the shower
We were only gonna stay one night but decided on an extra night before moving on
Showers were amazing and £1 was enough
All facilities were clean and we managed to empty our on board toilet and fill up our water and all this for £15 a night
Absolutely amazing
We will be back !!!!!

Unpowered grass tent site
Liked My partner and I came here for the night over the weekend and we found the site beautiful and peaceful. The site was quiet and tranquil. The owner and one of the workers couldn’t do enough for us, we rented a fire pit and they set this up and lit the fire for us, which we appreciated. The toilets and showers were cleaned regularly and the campsite as a whole was clean and tidy. We would recommend this camp site.
