Μου άρεσε Very peaceful and tranquil with great views and a 2.5 mile walk into Ashbourne. I don’t understand previous reviews saying there are no facilities….. read the description of places before you come and don’t blame your lack of research on the owners. There is one portaloo and electric hook up and fresh water and chemical loo emptying point - which we were aware of before visiting and was fine for our long weekend

Δεν μου άρεσε The lane down to the field from Ashbourne end is very slim - we have a Peugeot Boxer which was scrapping the hedges, I think you’d struggle with anything wider, especially when the houses down there have cars parked on the lane.

Μου άρεσε Very friendly, staff lovely, not far from main road so good as a stop off on our travels south, showers nice and clean and plenty of hot water, you can have a nice walk along by the the pebbly beach

Μου άρεσε Small well kept site with level pitches in a beautiful spot, ideal for any age group and it was nice to see such a broad mix of holiday makers

Μου άρεσε This site is only a 5 min walk to beach, although don’t be expecting a scenic route there, or a scenic anything until you arrive at the beach!

Δεν μου άρεσε Set on the main road through Pendine with a static caravan park opposite looking at you and a large hedge behind your pitch if you are one side, or the pavement and road if the other. Certainly no green or beach views anywhere. The road is busy in the day and basically you are just on a marked out tar mac car park with a small strip of grass to each side of your pitch - no picnic tables per pitch as advertised.

Δεν μου άρεσε Unlevel pitch - I feel when paying £40 per night for a hard standing pitch we should at least expect a level pitch We booked for x2 nights but only stayed for one as we were both unwell and decided to go home. There seemed no one around our whole stay to communicate anything to, never saw a member of staff, only noticed a sign saying ‘sign in book’ attached to a door when filling up with water, and had to ask neighbours where to find everything

The site has been run in this manner for decades, long before the convenience of online booking. Our facilities are located in one central area and clearly signed. We saw that you had no trouble using our facilities. From your pitch direction text, you had Phil’s direct mobile number which also appears on your booking information. We are baffled by your confusion and why you didn’t contact him in the first instance about your pitch gradient concerns - we would have most probably been able to relocate you. We’re sorry you had a terrible stay, weather was poor and you were unwell. Best wishes for your future camping adventures. Rhian & Phil

Μου άρεσε Perfect stop off for us on way to visit family in South Wales. Very friendly staff with nice pub on site if you fancy a bevvy after your journey, in a beautifully tranquil setting. Shower/toilet facilities look dubious from the outside (dont be put off!)I inside they are lovely individual units containing shower, wash basin and loo. We are glad to have found this and will be back!!

Μου άρεσε This is a lovely tranquil setting overlooking beautiful countryside with flat pitches that you don’t need to use levelling jocks on. Charlie the owner is very helpful and gave us superb instructions for walking into Sheringham via Pretty Corner through lovely woodland to avoid using the part of the road with no path. We have stayed here before but not walked into town before, we were surprised how quick it was and other than negotiating crossing the main road and getting into Pretty corner with no path, it’s a lovely walk and we will do it again next time we visit. There are no wash facilities- but you know that before you book and you can easily empty your loo and fill up with water - with water hose provided. It is just off a very busy road but we could not hear it inside our camper van.

Μου άρεσε Super site that has been very thoughtfully created. Good sized pitches with privacy hedges and water/electric/water waste all at your pitch. Showers and toilets clean and worked well. You are met by David and his adorable dog (can’t remem her name!) and given a very warm welcome and a leaflet telling you all about Cresslands and it’s history which again, has been very thoughtfully produced. There is a super garden centre just down the road and this site is perfectly placed for visiting Stamford which is just 15 mins away.

Μου άρεσε We loved the location of this site, stunning sea views and a short walk down to the pebbly beach and then a little further along the promenade to the most beautiful and pretty harbour and town. You can sit out and have a coffee or beer, or lots of places to have a meal, and a lovely cake shop for treats, there’s also a Carrefour city shop for any extras you might need.

Δεν μου άρεσε The pitches are definitely NOT flat! Ours was an odd shape and although we were only in a small campervan, it took us a while to get it on the pitch at an acceptable level which still left a little to be desired! The toilet/shower facilities are very outdated and could do with some improvement. There is definitely NOT a restaurant or swimming pool on site and Pitchop you need to change this on your site as some people could be really upset by this mis advertising. However, we so loved the views and the proximity of a nice little walk into town, that it all outweighed the negatives for us. You definitely need to be well with your mobility for this site though as its quite steep and hilly, with lots of steps required to get to the sanitary block if you are camped above it.

Μου άρεσε This site is very tranquil and quiet, and in a lovely beautiful spot with a very friendly owner. Facilities were nice and clean, there is an additional charge for using the hot water showers which you will need change for.

Δεν μου άρεσε We booked an electric hard standing and grass pitch which was on quite a slope. We tried using levelling blocks but they sunk down into the very soft gravel. We tried moving pitches but found the same. If this doesn’t worry you you’ll be fine, but we did struggle with the degree of slope when inside our campervan.
