Από τον διαχειριστή: Thank you for staying with us. We’re really pleased you enjoyed the quiet and easy-going atmosphere at Sweet Hill. And yes, the portaloos! We completely understand. They’re not our long-term plan and we’re very happy to finally have planning permission in place for improved permanent toilet facilities. Please bear with us while we get them built! Hopefully next time you visit, the portaloos will be a thing of the past. 🤞

Μου άρεσε Views and showers and chilled vibe.

Από τον διαχειριστή: Hello Joanne Thank you for this review and for sharing your photos too. There's nothing better than seeing Portland through a guest's eyes :) We're so pleased the views, showers and relaxed atmosphere made such a positive impression. That laid back, unhurried vibe is something we're really passionate about here and it's always wonderful to hear it resonates with our guests. We appreciate your honest feedback on the portaloos. We do our very best to keep them clean and well maintained throughout the day and we understand they aren't to everyone's taste, it's something we continue to look at as the site grows and develops.

Μου άρεσε We stayed at Bakesdown Farm in mid-May and found that it entirely lived up to its billing. The tipi was superb, the private facilities, including the kitchen, shower and toilet outstanding. The opportunity to access such a huge amount of space in the surrounding field was fantastic. The reception from the owner couldn't have been warmer or more friendly. The environment was rustic, basic but exactly what was needed to get away from the rat race and chill out. If taking electronic gadgets, ensure they're fully charged and have spare batteries if needed as there's no electric in the tipi. I don't count this as a bad thing.

Δεν μου άρεσε Would say that this site wouldn't be suitable for anyone who suffers from hay fever, isn't a fan of beasties, or would have trouble getting on hands and knees to access the tipi. Signage for the site was a little too discreet, but was still easy enough to find with the help of a GPS idiot box. Could only really be improved by being closer to the sea!
