Μου άρεσε The quiet spacious pitches. The hedges will be lovely when they've grown a bit. Facilities were always clean. They have been renovated so lovely and fresh. Owners were friendly and helpful.

Δεν μου άρεσε My only issue was they ran out of hot water on Sunday, more because it was a bank holiday weekend and a lot of people. I did have a shower but this was early (for a Sunday!) But my dishes had to wait and even in the evening there was none. For me it wasn't a major problem I boiled my kettle but I feel it's a problem they may need looking at if very busy. I can't imagine I'd be so thrilled if I'd wanted a shower!!

Μου άρεσε Pod was cozy and clean with a nice outside seating area and Bbq. Beds were comfy.

Δεν μου άρεσε Pod's could do with a door mat - mop was provided and did the job but it was a wet week so soon became wet and dirty. There were no hooks to hang anything on and only a small worktop/shelf. A few more shelves wouldn't go amiss. Stayed 7 nights and the ladies toilet ran out of loo roll twice. the toilets were clean but a little tired and dated.

Από τον διαχειριστή: Thank you for your review, all of the pods do have door mats unfortunately the one that was in your pod had been left outside by the previous customer and was soaked so wouldn't have been any use at all. I did have another one to put in there but didn't want to disturbed your holiday (an oversite on my part and something I will learn from). I have also purchased some coat racks to go in there which I will do ready for next season so thank you for that. There are occasions when we are very busy that the toilet roll runs out before I get in there in the morning to check it. During the schools holidays I usually check the toilets twice a day but this year have upped it to 3 do stop this from happening so again thank you for pointing this out. We refresh all of the paint work in the toilets every winter, I'm not sure what it is about the toilets that is dated as nobody ever says what it actually is that is dated about it and I have made many changes over the past 4 years to try and make it more modern so am not sure what else to do about that. We appreciate feedback and really it would be much more helpful if it was specific and given to us at the time of the stay not once our customers have left. We are sorry that you would not like to stay here again and hope that you find somewhere that better suits you next time.

Μου άρεσε It is a nicely situated site with easy access to a supermarket. it's peaceful. there is a nice little play area for the children. Sheltered pitches.

Δεν μου άρεσε It did feel a little penned in, hedges dividing a lot of the pitches. We had a week with some rain and being under trees and sheltered the pitch got a little soggy and we didn't really dry out! But hey that's a British summer for you! There is one toilet and shower block that in our 7 night stay ran out of toilet paper in the ladies twice. facilities were a little dated but fairly clean and always tidy. We did have a fox in our tent a couple of times which was a little alarming and in honesty has never happened to me in all my years of camping! But I think that was an act of God and nothing anyone has control over! Also an unlikely event in a more modern tent/trailer tent!

I am surprised to hear that you didn't like the hedges as we get lots of compliments on the fact that we don't have just an open field and it provides privacy to our customers. The hedges and trees are very important to the biodiversity of our Island and so we have no intention of cutting them down. We like the mix of nature that we have here and feel that it enhances the experience of camping. We have no control over the local wildlife and would encourage our customers to make sure they don't leave food out and the dispose of rubbish in the bins provided. We have suffered a very wet summer and there is nothing we can do about that I'm afraid. I have increased the number of times I check the ladies toilets to prevent them running out of toilet roll and I fully clean them at least once a day and do general tidying multiple times a day on top of that. It would be helpful for our customers to raise concerns while they are here and also to be specific when saying something is a little dated it doesn't give me any clear direction about what you think needs to be replaced. We are sorry that you wouldn't stay here again and hope that you find somewhere that suits you better next time.

Μου άρεσε This is a lovely little site, the facilities are clean, tidy The family bathroom is spacious and although it is a repurposed unit, it's clean and tidy and it works well, I easily managed my older autistic son. There is a lovely washing up area inside with seating and table. the items for sale and honesty box were lovely and thoughtful. My daughter was beside herself with excitement when she saw the beach items you could borrow! She borrowed a body board and spent over an hour in the sea! Brrr! there was a picnic table at each pitch which was another lovely touch. Bbq and fire pit facilities were available too. It had lovely views and for me was lovely to be surrounded my the countryside I love and miss. We will definitely return at some point.

Μου άρεσε This is a lovely friendly, quiet and flat, sheltered campsite. The ground was quite hard and I struggled with the tent pegs but it hadn't rained for a good while also I have the crummiest tent pegs! Lovely powerful shower with good temperature adjustment, very useful when trying to shower small people! Toilets were always clean and tidy. The site had plenty of space for the children to run about, it was clean and tidy. It was lovely to have recycling bins. The only thing which would be a useful improvement is hot water for washing up. I pop this here as it wasn't something I disliked just a little inconvenient for me with a small kettle and a tent!

Μου άρεσε This was a lovely clean and tidy site, very child friendly. we were given a warm welcome. pitches were spacious. We really enjoyed our stay and it is on our list of places to return.

Δεν μου άρεσε We didn't personally find it an issue, but it's worth noting you can hear and see the motorway. So if your not used to traffic noise it may be an issue for you.

Μου άρεσε This is a lovely site with stunning views, although it is very exposed for a tent. It is well placed for access to local places to eat and the towns of Barnstaple and Bideford supermarket is a short drive away too. On this occasion we were unable to stay our full stay due to Storm Francis blowing us away! But although the facilities are very basic just 4 portaloos they were clean with plenty of hand sanitizer available. I would happily visit again but maybe when my youngest 4 is a little older as he struggled to access the toilets independently due to the spring fitted to all portaloo doors, which although this was a personal issue to us it may be worth bearing in mind if you travel alone with young children (especially determined independent ones!) We had a lovely stay and its on our list to visit again.

Μου άρεσε This was a alternative booking as we had to rearrange our holiday 3 times due to covid. I made a group booking and they kindly placed us all together which was lovely as the children had space to play with their cousin and everyone being with in sight. the facilities were clean and always tidy. The adaptions made for covid were very good and worked well. It was a lovely site [peaceful and we were made very welcome.
