Μου άρεσε This is a lovely certificated site perfect in every way. Peaceful site with great views. Each pitch has a tap and grey waste. The toilet and shower block is excellent - lovely and clean. We came during the drought but the firepit and BBQ area looked super - and the honesty bar is an amazing space too. We ate at The Plough in Upper Boddington and can recommend. We liked it so much we decided to stay an extra night and will definitely be returning.

Μου άρεσε Relaxed vibe Being able to access the site at any time on arrival and choose your pitch Clean loos and showers Great location just off A303 and nice safe walk to very good pub (we dined at the Lamb)

Δεν μου άρεσε Many of the pitches are sloping, so you need levelling ramps Showers are basic no frills festival type Charge per pitch makes this a relatively expensive site for 2 people for very basic facilities (but can see how families would find it great value)

Μου άρεσε Relaxed arrival and being able to choose your own place to pitch Great location with stunning views and sunsets Good pubs within easy walking distance Great walks nearby - easy access to Hen Cloud and The Roaches, we will be back to walk to Luds Church Pizza van offers really good food Toilets and showers are few and basic but this is reflected in the pitch price - although a busy weekend there were never long queues and always well stocked with soap and loo roll. Showers were adequate for £1. Fellow campers respected the 10 pm noise curfew even on a busy June weekend in a heatwave.

Δεν μου άρεσε Although the food that the pizza van serves is great, its location is far from good. It cannot be considered hygienic to have it so close to toilets which only have a single door - there is a reason why food hygiene regulations stipulate that toilets must not open directly onto food preperation areas! It is not nice ordering and waiting for food immediately outside toilets, and it can't be nice for the food vendor to have to work in this area. I know that the food van needs to be near a water supply but you do have another washing up sink nearer to the entrance - perhaps you could consider creating an area there with some hardstanding? I am sure that a more attractive and visible pitch would be beneficial to all parties.

Μου άρεσε Location is fabulous - we opted for non electric pitch and was able to pitch up anywhere - we chose to stay along the cliff edge. Toilets and showers are spotlessly clean, and there is a washing up area with hot water. We spent a lovely day in Withernsea - recommend the Lighthouse - a lovely museum as well as the views. We will definitely stay again.

Δεν μου άρεσε Washing up area looks great but the stainless steel trough is not really suitable for pot washing. My standard size washing up bowl wouldn't fit in the trough, it needs a bit of a rethink. Also only one hook in the showers and nowhere to sit or place a bag. That said these are just suggestions for improvement and would not prevent me from staying here in the future.

Μου άρεσε This is a basic pop up site - with 2 portaloos, a water standpipe and rubbish bins, all of which are well set up and super clean. I do not understand why anyone has rated facilities low and disliked lack of showers - if you want those then don't book this site! Lynn (warden) was super friendly and helpful both on text when making the booking and when we arrived. She also gave suggestions of footpaths and eateries. We had fish and chips from Wrights in Saffron Walden and woud recommend. We cycled to a concert at Audley End (took about 45 mins at a leisurely pace) - this avoided the nightmare of trying to book a Taxi and the horrendous car park congestion - the night we went people reported still being stuck waiting to get off the car park at midnight (we were tucked up in our caravan!). Don't attempt this without good lights, as country lane with no footpath for last mile and half. Others have mentioned plane noise - we didn't find this to be an issue at all.
