Μου άρεσε The field and pitches behind the pub is quite big.We had one of the gravel pitches.No EHU or water at pitch but already knew that. The pub is very nice with some lovely Sunday lunches served.Bar staff were great,friendly and helpful.So busy as it was a Bank Holiday.We had 3 nights booked but returned after two......due to bad weather (we had a leaky roof). Easy bus route nearby (No.6) into York. The city wall walk is great (2 Miles). Lots of shops within its' maze of streets and shopping areas.

Μου άρεσε Liked the location.It was busy when I was there (got the last pitch).The pub at the cricket club next door was nice,and food was good.Very short walk to the Woolpack Inn (the old Woolpack from where they filmed Emmerdale Farm).Site was nice and clean.

Μου άρεσε Lovely well kept quiet site.Run by Joanne and Neil.....lovely people. We booked 3 nights (but left after two) because we had to go work next day.The shop and cafe next door are great.Warden travels around the site several times a day on her scooter checking everyone is happy.We'll certainly be back here next time we are passing by.It has a huge field next door for walking dogs,and a couple ponds.Site was busy but everyone was placed well so loads of room for you to relax. Site is very easy to find and is level.We had the Robin field,close to the showers (very hot water) and toilets (only 1 toilet in mens'). It's only 7 miles from Chester,and Tattenhall is close by.

Μου άρεσε Toilets and shower room was very clean.Site was pretty quiet,probably due to the early season,and the mixed weather.Good facilities although we didn't need to use much as we were self contained.Tried twice to go the bar in the evenings (both times appeared to be closed) but couldn't see any staff about,Even shouted,but nobody came. Warm welcome when we arrived though,and staff member explained rules for fishing etc.My second time here (came last summer).Prices have gone up which may put me off in future.

Από τον διαχειριστή: Thank you for your review, sorry you feel the price increase and coming out of season would stop you from visiting again. We did not open officially until Easter weekend which is when the seasonal staff started back. The £5 increase is obviously due to electricity price increase, thought the price does include fishing which is normally £10 and Pitch Up take 15%.

Μου άρεσε Nice overnight stop. Small area for upto 4 campervans. Pub just yards away and they even have an honesty shop on site. Popular with bikers who often stop here for a rest.

Δεν μου άρεσε Bit of noise from nearby road,but quiet at night.

Μου άρεσε Great for fishing and facilities are good.I'll certainly be back one day soon.Went on a Bank Holiday so it was pretty busy,especially with people fishing there.Nice bar and outside seating area.

Δεν μου άρεσε Next pitch to us had a dog roaming loose which was a problem for two days (we had our cat there on a lead )but staff didn't seem bothered about it..Apparently belonged to the partner of a staff member.

Από τον διαχειριστή: Thank you for your review, we are glad you enjoyed our site. We do apologise for any dogs that roam free, we do ask that they are kept on a lead especially staff members dogs. Unfortunately the partner of a staff member did not follow this rule or several other rules which is why as soon as we were notified he was asked to leave, which he did. We do not tolerate any rules being broken that will effect any guests. To the private feedback writer, thank you for helping out with the caravan fire it was appreciated. On another note we are glad you all had a lovely time and hope to see you again...with no incidents happening lol

Μου άρεσε Site was basic but relaxing.Owner very friendly and helpful.
