Μου άρεσε Nice area for walks & cycling nearby with plenty of historic villages and rural footpaths. I loved the firepit experience both nights (my first go, but I'm probably not my last, if I camp again - it just tops off the vibe :) ) Great loos and showers. Great that I didn't have to rush off on the day of departure (sorry I went a bit over the already generous departure time).

Δεν μου άρεσε Not a complaint but I would advise others to be aware that a. this is a working farm area so you might hear farm machinery sometimes. b. the bottom of the field is next to a lightly - used road.

Μου άρεσε So peaceful, with a lovely view of a neighbouring farm's sunflowers, and sheep (and you may spot deer or three in another field too). You can choose your spot. I felt very safe and even left my tent flap open for the whole night, to get the feeling of being under the stars. A great short walk through a wood with a pretty stream to Stoke Abbott, a fascinatingly historical village. Messages with the owners imparted a friendly, relaxed vibe. I hope to return one day with more time to enjoy the local walks than I had on this occasion (1 night's stay).

Δεν μου άρεσε The pitch I chose had a slight slope, which I only realised when I went to lie down, but it was solved by turning myself 180 degrees so that my head was a bit higher than my feet! After doing that I was no longer even aware of the slope. There is no shower in the tent field area, but it seems you could pay extra to use the facilities of the hard-standing area. (I didn't, on this occasion). May I suggest a shower next to the toilets in the tent field, which could take coins or tokens?

Από τον διαχειριστή: We’re so glad you enjoyed the camp site and would like to return 🤗 Regarding the showers.. there are 3 full bathrooms with showers for a small fee. And these are available to all campers at the site. The fee just covers soap, cleaning, hot water & toilet rolls. And there’s a little hop over for the guests from the tent field to easily access them. Hope this helps for future visits 🙂 All the best. Sharon and Tom x

Μου άρεσε The price based on 1 person; great view, peaceful location, good shower, cafe next to field; despite being overall a sloping field there are flat areas: I found one easily; good loos.

Μου άρεσε Lovely view, great and thorough recommendations for walking, cycling etc, wonderful hot shower, handy charging points, level pitch, generally attracts nice, quiet people. The covered seating area affords the opportunity to chat with fellow campers.

Δεν μου άρεσε Nothing to dislike :) (As others have mentioned, you can hear the nearby road a bit, but it's just far enough away not to spoil the peaceful atmosphere.)
