Μου άρεσε The campsite is fabulous! The pitches are well laid out and plenty big enough for our tent and porch. The privacy of the long grass between each pitch was great. The facilities are simple but clean and well stocked and the honesty shack is a fantastic touch! We didn’t get to venture far from the tent because of the weather (typical bank holiday washout!) but we’ll be back to explore next year. The owners son went above and beyond when we’d ordered a takeaway, he intercepted the delivery driver and brought the food to our tent for us!! He also spent all weekend giving kids rides on his quad which was just so lovely to watch.

Δεν μου άρεσε The sheer number of slugs was like something out of a horror film 🤣 I’ve honestly never seen so many in one place! Obviously nothing the owners can do about them, but they were annoying when they invaded the tent. One very inconsiderate camper let their dog bark all night, and given the rule about reduced noise after 10pm (and it was barking into the early hours), I wish someone would have asked them to keep the dog under control.

Μου άρεσε The site is lovely and clean, really well appointed and we had a fabulous time! Even in the 31 degree heat!! We thoroughly enjoyed feeding the animals and appreciated being able to buy proper feed for them from the honesty shop, though you have to be quick as the bags get taken by visitors in no time. The fire pits and the trolleys to move them on were a fantastic touch, as was the availability of logs and kindling - we had great fun toasting our marshmallows. The site is peaceful and we'd definitely recommend it.

Δεν μου άρεσε Not so much a "dislike", more just an observation: we received a message in the morning and were advised to pitch our tent in plot 21, but when we arrived there were already people in that plot - I did manage to speak to Stuart on the phone and he confirmed we could pick another plot, we chose number 18 in a corner, but due to the layout of the field (rectangular, with 5 plots along each long edge and 2 plots along the furthest short edge) we felt we were taking up a lot of plot 19 as well, which didn't end up being a problem as no one else arrived - but it could have been an issue if the site was fully booked. I think the 2 plots along the short edge should be done away with to give everyone more space - the people in the plot opposite us had the same issue and were encroaching into the corner/plot 20 with their cars. The hand soap in the toilet block was empty for a day and a half, I sent a message asking for it to be refilled.

Μου άρεσε Everything. The toilets are immaculate and there’s plenty of them. The washing up area is fab, stocked with bowls and washing up liquid. We didn’t use the showers but they looked clean and with a little changing area inside they were just what you need when camping. The woodshed housed fridges and freezers to re-freeze ice packs which is very handy. The pitches are spacious and flat and the surrounding area is absolutely beautiful. The farmland is very picturesque and we loved listening to the animals in the nearby fields. The campsite is well laid out and the staff are friendly and welcoming. We even had a hedgehog visit in the night to steal our dogs dry food 🤣

Δεν μου άρεσε Nothing! Not being able to have a fire pit was disappointing BUT we totally understood the reasoning due to the hot weather. We just ate our marshmallows raw… 🤣

Μου άρεσε The facilities are great: the toilets, showers and washing up area are clean and well maintained. The pitches are also great, we found a perfect spot in the wooded area and had a lovely set up. There were loads of spots to choose from! Steve was so lovely and friendly. And delivering the firewood on his quad was great 😁 The farm animals were awesome and we really enjoyed interacting with them. FYI, chickens love apples 😂 The nature walk and kids play area were fab!! Really great for younger kids.

Μου άρεσε Everything! The campsite is beautiful and well laid out, the pitches are well thought out, although the signposts denoting each pitch are a little small so can be hard to spot from the car. The facilities are brilliant, rustic but really good! Clean and well maintained/stocked. We had a water tap at the side of our pitch which was a god send as it was so hot we were refilling our water bottles a lot! We had the best time! Thank you to Rick And the cows are adorable 🥰

Δεν μου άρεσε Nothing! Although I would like to remind other campers that shining your car headlights into other people’s tents/faces after dark is really thoughtless and rude! Same goes for wandering round with torches - keep them pointing down please!!!

Μου άρεσε The facilities were excellent, the toilet/shower/kitchen block was clean and well maintained and the fact that dish cleaning stuff and hand towels/tea towels were provided was amazing. The pitches are a great size and we had plenty of room to pitch our tent and set up our gear. The surroundings were just beautiful and the walk down to the waterfall was fab, the dog thoroughly enjoyed it! The whole trip was a blast and we’d definitely visit again.

Δεν μου άρεσε Other guests not closing the site gates, and the door to the toilet block being left open and lights left on was annoying! But I get that not everyone follows the rules and that’s not the fault of the owners as the signs are all there… some people are just lazy and inconsiderate. We were a little frustrated at initially being told we had to buy our firewood from the campsite, only to be told on the day of arrival that their wood was still drying so we had to buy our own. Which we were happy to do, but a bit more notice would have been appreciated.
