Μου άρεσε Absolutely beautiful location. Loads of space (only 4 pitches taken when I was there) and all on the river bank. Exactly what I hoped for - nothing but the sounds and smells of nature. Pub is 10mins walk away and was open on a Monday (bonus). Friendly farmer host. Perfectly simple set up. Price being per person rather than per van makes it amazing for solo travellers too. One of the best spots I’ve found so far I’d say. Thank you Preston Campsite! Yes the portaloos are ‘basic’ but for one more than sufficient, and keeps the location unspoilt and beautiful 👌🏻

Μου άρεσε Nice and easy to find. Liked that there was music and good food and drinks available. Friendly welcome. Good location to head off for walks without going on main roads.

Δεν μου άρεσε We were surprised that the view from the camping field is over houses and industrial buildings as you’re quite close to the town. Not really shown in the photos. That’s fine, but better to know what you’re going to get. I chose this as it looked to be more rural with views over water. I think the advertised photos are from the car park field rather than the camping area, so be aware if considering. It was a busy weekend with an event on which mean limited toilets as they are used by the bar/cafe visitors too. Didnt fancy going in in my pjs in the middle of a party 🤣. But maybe will be quieter other weekends. I thought the price was quite high for a slanted pitch without electric

Μου άρεσε Lots of space, nice location, very peaceful. Good toulets/ showers. Easy to access. Excellent value.

Δεν μου άρεσε Bit of a lack of instructions, didn’t receive any info with toilet code etc so had to ask. (Note that your pitch number is on your pitch up booking, so you just find it when you get there, I missed that, my mistake!)

Μου άρεσε Lovely peaceful stay, just us, the stream and some inquisitive sheep for company! Beautiful spot with easy access from the road but feels like the middle of nowhere. We arrived late but the host called in advance to give us directions and was super helpful and friendly. Toilets clean and close by.

Δεν μου άρεσε The only downside was mud! But we knew it wasn’t hard standing, so didn’t expect that, and it was definitely worth it for the location rather than a big concrete site :) Boards had been put down through the mud into the camper field but It was raining a lot and we managed to get stuck (no doubt our fault as we’d just picked up the camper hours before and didn’t really know what we were doing!). The very friendly farmer towed us out in the morning - Thank you!
