Μου άρεσε Very friendly welcome and we were led to our pitch which was a nice personal touch. Lovely views of nearby countryside. Nice walk to Cerne Abbas and to see the Giant.

Δεν μου άρεσε Had to queue for a toilet a few times - only 3 toilets and the site was very busy, despite being quite small. Also, no temperature control in the showers (it was a hot day yet the showers were still hot)

Από τον διαχειριστή: We are sorry you will not be coming to us again. We are in a beautiful part of the country. Sorry you had to queue for the loos, there are actually five toilets, which is more than we are required to have for a site our size. This is usually enough for the amount of guests on site. The majority of our visitors come with a caravan or motorhome with their own toilet facilities. The main showers do have a set temperature, we do have a shower in each of the ladies and gents toilets which can be turned to a colder setting.

Μου άρεσε Spacious site with only 7 pitches available. Showers/ toilets were always clean.

Δεν μου άρεσε It took a while to be admitted on to the site - nobody heard the doorbell on the gate and nobody answered the two phone lines. Luckily somebody arrived to visit some other campers and we were able to get in with them!

Μου άρεσε The site was quite quiet when we were there so there was lots of space - we were able to pitch where we wanted.

Μου άρεσε Lovely, well kept small site with a very friendly and informative owner! Toilets and showers were kept very clean. Beautiful views of the Black Mountains and clearly signed access to the river Wye and Offa’s Dyke. Lovely walk into Hay-on-Wye.

Από τον διαχειριστή: Hi thanks for your review. Not sure if you saw there is also another room which has a shower and toilet for ladies to use so there are 3 toilets and 2 showers, there are also 2 more toilets and a ladies shower on the static park that you could use.

Μου άρεσε Lovely clean site - large but quiet. Good facilities for kids. Castle is impressive to look at. Lots of woodland walks for dogs. Lovely helpful staff. Toilets and showers very clean.

Δεν μου άρεσε Toilet blocks were well positioned although no soap at sinks. Showers were all in one block by reception which was quite a trek from our pitch.

Μου άρεσε Beautiful remote setting in the middle of the countryside. Large pitches. Best of all - the shower wasn’t a push-button every 20seconds experience!!! Also loved the information provided via text on the morning of our arrival.

Μου άρεσε This is a real gem of a site - we loved it! It is a bit quirky but that adds to the charm. Beautiful, peaceful setting with very generous pitch sizes and the toilets/showers were kept spotless (although I never saw them being cleaned which is another bonus!). The site has many small lakes which my dog loved exploring and crossing the bridges over to the toilet block just added to the charm!

Μου άρεσε The site was very easy to find, check-in was quick and friendly. Access to the cliff-top at the end of the site was lovely. Also good to have a couple of food kiosks on site.

Δεν μου άρεσε Toilet block was closed for cleaning at 8am on Saturday- I know it’s got to be done at some time but this was perhaps the worst time!

Μου άρεσε V friendly staff, visiting baker each morning was brilliant - no need to pre-order your baguettes like in most other sites! Local tourist site Le Blockhaus well worth a visit and less than a kilometer away.

Μου άρεσε Children liked the natural swimming pool. Lots of woodland walks which the dog loved!

Δεν μου άρεσε All local signs call this site Huttopia, or even Camping Lac d'Or- we drove many extra miles searching for Camping Rambouillet. Would be very useful if the site used one name!

Μου άρεσε Nice bar area. Pizzas available to order. Inflatables for kids were good.

Δεν μου άρεσε Pitches hard to get in and out of with a motorhome. Very remote - nearby 'beach' a vast mud flat when tide is out. Not many toilets, toilet paper often missing. No soap at communal sinks.
