Μου άρεσε I lived near Seatown as a kid and have been camping at the campsite ever since. Getting down to the beach takes less than 15 minutes and on a quiet night you can hear the waves breaking from your tent. A really nice site with all the necessary amenities - well-stocked shop, nice showers and bathrooms- even a full on dog cleaning tub. This time I was staying during the drought so was unable to cook but was saved by the really friendly food van guy serving delicious curry. I really appreciate the toilet stalls in the camping field now- I remember you used to have to high-tail it to the toilet block near the caravans in the middle of the night if caught short. Really great site and such a good location for walking, beachside weekend, etc

Μου άρεσε Really nice site hidden away in the hills near Chagford. Back-to-basics toilet and shower which - perfect if what you are really after is a hot shower. Great views and a very flexible owner. Would highly recommend. Use the google map directions on the pitchup site to find it as the entrance is quite hidden! T

Μου άρεσε “This was an amazing campsite. You can get assigned to camp spaces named after apples. How imaginative is that? There were apple trees everywhere and it not only makes it look prettier- but it is also delicious. Unfortunately, we came in a drought. So, we could not cook and, even with sleeping bags, the ground was quite hard. There is a small living room area where you can play board games and play table football. Definitely recommend it.”- Pearl, 10 years “I loved this campsite. Your tent is right next to a bunch of apple trees (I recommend for hide and seek) You can relax in a special room where you can read and play table football or even have a nap! There’s a shop next to it where you can buy their apple juice. The tent places are named after a different things. Unfortunately, we came in the drought and the grounds were dry and uncomfortable. Even though I totally recommend it. I suggest you bring lots of pillows!” – Aggie, 8 years "A great site, well-located an in beautiful surroundings among the orchard looking straight out to the sunset. The allocated sites between the trees also provide some nice privacy between neighbours. The little cabin room was a great place to hang out- the exceptional opportunity to sit on a proper sofa after two days camping an absolute blessing. Facilities were great- nice kitchen and bathrooms. If you cant park in your camping bay there's parking at the back. Great spot, would definitely go again."- Tom

Μου άρεσε Amazing Place! We got to feed the sheep! Extremely Child friendly and very helpful staff. If your looking for a place that is dog and child friendly. I would suggest Girt Down Farm. -Pearl, age 9.

Μου άρεσε Hi, I'm 11 and I stayed here with my family! What I liked about the campsite was the vending shop, the milkshakes were delicious!! I also enjoyed how the pub was very close so you could just walk there to dinner if you wanted to!

Δεν μου άρεσε Hi, I am 11 and stayed at this campsite with my family! From the pictures and the name, we thought this would be a nice farm campsite but it was more organised and busy than we expected. We were very cramped in. Next time we will go somewhere with more appreciation to nature. Also, the playground was very small!

Από τον διαχειριστή: Hi - many thanks for letting us know your likes and dislikes about your stay at the campsite. We are so pleased that you liked the vending shop and the location of the local pub for dinner. Regarding your dislikes: this used to be a Farm with a dairy herd but where you were camping is where the dairy cows were. The campsite is still in a rural area, lots of nature and with another working Dairy Farm just down the road. The campsite does get really busy in August, when children are on their summer holidays but we do have a really big playing field next to the campsite where games can be played and as you were only here for the 1 night, you may of not used it. Sorry that you will not be visiting again but if your family did stay for longer, you may of taken in so many nature walks to Chesil Beach and Hardy's Monument.

Μου άρεσε Really lovely site. Warm and welcoming hosts. Younger and much more laid-back than CC Club sites certainly. I also really appreciated the location - close enough to reach Stanton Drew by car easily (my main goal) while also an easy walk to the pub in Timsbury (my second, but no less important goal).
