Μου άρεσε I chose this site as a halfway point on my way from the ferry to the Pyrennees so only stayed 1 night. Nice quite grassy site. No pitches marked out, just pitch wherever you want.

Δεν μου άρεσε The ownership/management was a bit odd. No one in the house when I arrived, then several hours later a young woman got out of a motorhome and came over with a card machine. There was another couple with a child there who seemed to be with her, and there was very much a feeling of ownership about them. There was a friendly cat on site which the man at one point fired his water pistol at. On the whole they made me feel uncomfortable and as if I was intruding on their private campsite.

Από τον διαχειριστή: Hi Helena, I'm sorry that you had a bad experience in my campsite. Indeed, that evening I was away for work. I have a foodtruck and I'm working on events. My tiny camping (6 pitches) is not enought intake to live. Instructions are written on the door in french and in english. It's explained that you can set-up in case nobody is home and don't worry ! My phone number is written on every posters so you can call me at any moment. It's not odd, It's like that in many small campings everywhere in Europe. You can't expect a reception desk open 24h/7day. How much are you ready to pay for that service ? you staid only one night so I couldn't see you but I organized something to make it easy. That's why I asked the girl in the motorhome if she can arrange the paiement with you. She's here for a long stay and she's friendly but she can't speak english. She's also the owner of the cat. Other people with her are her friend and family. They were just playing with the cat. They are here since long time and I never saw any mistreatment. Those customers are respectfull of the camping in general and friendly with everybody so I'm really surprised to read your review. Julien, Les Petites Martinies

Μου άρεσε Great views of the lake and an area where you can get in and swim. Good walks around the lake in both directions, or you can do as I did and do the full loop - be warned, this is a long walk c. 15 miles and, ironically, no access to drinking water or any facilities so make sure you're prepared.

Δεν μου άρεσε I want to caveat my dislikes by saying the site didn't suit me but may well be perfect for others. This is more to make others aware to make an informed choice. The pitches are dirt pitches rather than grass, hard to get pegs into. There were a lot of ants. I learnt very quickly not to drop any food (even crumbs) near my van. It's quite a busy site (clearly popular). Also, be aware, when you book through Pitch-Up you then have to send an email, otherwise your booking isn't confirmed.

Μου άρεσε This is a lovely quiet site next to a small lake. Good facilities and the host was great, friendly and helpful. Choose your own pitch. The village is an easy 10 minute walk with a good boulangerie and at least 1 cafe. When I stayed there were horses in the fields by the site with foals. The lake is managed for fishing and wildlife with loads of dragonflies and some very noisy frogs! Most evenings there were a couple of local people fishing but it wasn't busy at all.

Μου άρεσε Lovely site with loads of trees and shrubs so plenty of shade and privacy. I was able to choose my own pitch which is nice. I only stayed 1 night on journey north to catch the ferry and didn't make use of the facilities, but the pool looked nice. English owners.

Μου άρεσε Nice quiet site with information in 3 languages. Level pitches, some lovely walks in the woods nearby. I only stayed 1 night on my way back to Roscoff so didn't explore the area.

Δεν μου άρεσε I can see the owners have planted trees but these are only small at the moment, so the pitches are quite open with very little shade or privacy. The showers were also annoying - push button as usual but only stayed on about 10 seconds and you couldn't hold them on.

You're absolutely right — the young trees we've planted are still growing, so there isn’t much shade or privacy yet, but they’re getting there! As for the showers, we understand the push-button system can be frustrating. It’s an ecological choice, but we appreciate your feedback and will consider adjusting the timing to improve comfort. Μου άρεσε This site is a little piece of paradise. Large grass pitches with trees and shrubs, being managed for wildlife. Loads of butterflies and birds - a robin flew into my van and perched on my foot! Peaceful location in a stunning part of France, some great walking through the woods. Delicious pizza on Monday/Friday. Fantastic hosts, very friendly and excellent English (as they’re from England). Excellent facilities with Wi-Fi around the whole site.

Μου άρεσε Wow - what a fantastic campsite! No marked pitches, just park up where you want around the edges of the 6 fields. I was about 30m from my nearest neighbours. Beautiful views, very quiet (although some road noise). Fabulous for wildlife - I watched red kites following the neighbouring farmer’s tractor as he mowed his grass, flocks of finches dashing in to feast on the seed heads in the fields, a swallow’s nest in the barn. Great facilities - best campsite shower ever and a big barn where you could cook and eat if you want to. Honesty box based shop with all the essentials. I walked from the campsite up into the hills and only saw about 3 people all day. This is not for you if you want to play loud music, walk to a pub, or play football. It is for you if you want to chill, be peaceful, and be in nature.

Μου άρεσε Large flat field where you can pitch anywhere except electric pitches (unless you booked that obvs!)

Δεν μου άρεσε Next to a very noisy train line - trains every 5-10 minutes and blowing their horn every time. For this reason alone I wouldn’t stay here again. Facilities basic and not particularly clean. There was no hot water at the mid-field wash up station. It’s one large field, so although you can pitch anywhere there’s no hedges or trees to block sound or increase privacy.
