Μου άρεσε This place is amazing. It's so clean, cosy and has everything you might possibly need. Cutlery, washing up liquid, kitchen stuff, kitchen towels, even an oven, heating, TV, a super modern and clean bathroom, hairdryer... literally can't think of anything we needed and didn't have there. They even provide some basic kitchen supplies like half, pepper, brown sauce etc and sandwich bags! The whole place is so thoughtfully put together. And the uninterrupted view of Ben Nevis is gorgeous. Will always come back here when in Fort William!

Μου άρεσε There are 3 different fields, very spacious, separated by trees and bushes, there is a lot of space to pitch and the little lakes make the area very pretty. It feels airy and tranquil. There are 2 cubicles with toilet+shower and another 2 separate toilets. Toilets are very clean and there is always soap, toilet paper and hand towels. You can get fresh eggs in the morning from the hens on the farm. Close to Camber Sands.

Δεν μου άρεσε I read on pitchup that arrivals should be before 5pm. As we were stuck in traffic and after a night shift, it got to 5 and we were not there yet, I called ahead to say we will probably be another 45 mins, I was told thats fine. Then when we arrived we were told off for being late. I was a bit surprised given that I had called ahead, but anyway. Although the fields are so big and spacious, it's a shame you can't actually enjoy all that space, as the owner does not seem to allow people to pitch where they want which I found incredibly strange. When we arrived, we parked on the field at the front, not knowing there were 2 others. There were already quite a few families with kids there. When we got out of the car, the owner greeted us and started showing us around. When we noticed there was so much more space on the other fields, we said we will probably move the car then, to move to a different fields so we can be a bit more away from others and have more tranquility. The owner made quite a condescending "oh, are you now?" comment, as if we weren't allowed to choose a different pitch? We were confused and asked, "is that okay?" And she said "well... you are late". We were even more confused. What does being late have to do with choosing your pitch?if being late was considered unacceptable she would have been in her right to just cancel our booking, otherwise ... I don't see how it impacts choosing of the pitch. Then she insisted we come with her to show her exactly where we wanted to pitch. We saw the field at the back which was empty (behind one of the lodges), asked if we could pitch there, she said no. We then went to the 3rd field, more at the back, where there were only 3 other tents. We said we wanted to pitch towards the back of it, away from the other tents to have more privacy and leave the other people some space too, and she said "no I can't have you so far at the back". When I tried to ask why (like, are there any plants that need protecting there, or is there anything in that area at the back preventing us from pitching), she just did not say anything. Basically we were never given any reasons as to why we could not pitch a bit more... away from others, we were just met with silence. Ended up having to pitch basically right next to someone else, when there would have been a whole empty field to the side of that. The owner throughout the interaction was just surprisingly condescending. If the owner prefers to assign pitches rather than allow free pitching, they should state this in the description of the campsite, because then I would personally never book there, as I prefer to choose my own pitch. People should know in advance what the rules are to make an informed decision about whether to book there or not. It's a shame because the place is actually very beautiful but the communication with customers could be greatly improved. Also there is no washing up area for dishes, had to wash dishes in the sink by the toilet which feels a bit weird.
