Μου άρεσε We stayed in the mead hut, it was located in the middle of a wood that faced a field with cows and a bull grazing. The location was truly beautiful and the wood we was in was only for us we chopped wood for our fire and could really get in touch with nature. The farm is massive your located a good mile from the actual campsite the hut had it’s own fresh water tap and its own toilet but no shower we just used a bucket and threw it over each other which we didn’t mind as the wood was secluded others may wish to drive down to the campsite and take a shower. The toilet was basic just a little shack facing the field and cows with a toilet seat and long drop I didn’t mind but can understand why others wouldn’t like it. Finally the farm shop and cafe we didn’t use the cafe but the farm shop was brilliant we bought the farm meat every night for our bbq it was delicious!

Δεν μου άρεσε In the hut there are some maps provided with walks we tried to undertake the village pub walk, but the map was very confusing especially when it states totem pole which is at the main camp site which was a good half hour walk by itself after walking 2 hours getting lost we decided to walk back and get the car which I was glad we did as the village pub we went too was more of a restaurant so we had a little lunch a moved on.

Μου άρεσε The toilets where clean. Very close to the avon we brought a kayak and had fun playing in the river.

Δεν μου άρεσε A lot of kids very loud early in the morning. It was a mile to the nearest pub we decided to walk a route that a map at the site said was a country walk it wasn’t mainly on roads with steep banks. We ran out of fire wood but the site offers to sell some £4 for one bag or 3 for £10 which is good but once i opened the bag the wood had a lot of nails in.

Δεν μου άρεσε Didn’t even stay! We turned up went to reception no one was there we hung around for 20 minutes eventually then we checked in. I was then informed our pitch was on a grass field opposite the conference centre which backed onto a road that quads kept racing up and down. We then decided not to unpack yet and go for a look around because there seemed to be a lot of activity, we headed over to the grass field which had the lake located there was a fun fair being set up I then found out there was going to be a wedding there and we was not allowed near the fair so basically we couldn’t be on the field where the lake was which is where we thought we would be camping we bought a kayak with us to go on the lake. We headed towards the lake which had canoes and a pirate ship it also had life jackets strewn around we then waited there to see if we could go on the lake with our kayak…. We stood there for 10 to 15 minutes and no staff could be seen except this weird train that kept driving around. We then headed back to our pitch and sat in the car and looked over at the conference centre and decided it would be awful to stay there right next to a wedding and a fun fair going on all night, we should have been informed that this event was going on we wouldn’t have gone there the staff were not present and the 2 I met unhelpful, we then went back on pitchup and picked another campsite nearby. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND
