Claylands Caravan Park

Μου άρεσε: Location and access to the motorway and the site in general. Good restaurant and bar.

Δεν μου άρεσε: There is no motorhome service point if you’re not geared up for a super pitch with waste pipe to connect to the grey waste drain then it’s all empty by bucket.

Μου άρεσε: The actual site was immaculate, toilets/showers etc, peaceful place in the daytime, lovely to walk round too see the cows/sheep/ducks ,gorgeous views, restaurant/bar was brilliant too, great with water taps and bins for dog bags were handy. Staff friendly, Walk along the river wyre at the back of the campsite to and from the restaurant was lovely. A duck had laid an egg by our tent which we were fascinated with.

Δεν μου άρεσε: The train line /motorway noise was quite loud at night, we did get alot of disturbed sleep, also the electric pilelon above you could hear too, don't notice the noises in the daytime only at night, Pitches are on a slight slope and not so level in parts, grass was bare in some areas.

Μου άρεσε: Had the pleasure of staying in Claylands and was blown away. The views and scenery were amazing. It was so quiet and relaxing, staff were very polite and proffessional at all times. Toilet and shower block were spotless. Had a meal in the bar and it was so tasty. Will definitely be going back

Μου άρεσε: Lovelly clean site,nice bar and restaurant,good area for visiting blackpool,fleetwood etc.

Δεν μου άρεσε: Shower block too far away from touring site.noisy with trains running all night and ducks quacking from 4 am onwards.

Unfortunately we can do nothing about the trains as it is the main line between Scotland and London even if they are 2 fields away across the river. The distance from the tenting field to the shower block is approximately 200 yards but we appreciate it is not near the bottom of the park. The ducks do wake up as it gets light and will make their presence felt.

Μου άρεσε: Absolutely loved everything about Claylands the staff were friendly and helpful the food ln the pub was fantastic the fishing is excellent the pitches are a great size can’t wait to go back 👍

Μου άρεσε: Friendly and helpful staff, pitches are nice and love the nature such as the ducks near pitches.

Δεν μου άρεσε: We were without electric for some time because of an issue, finally sorted. The showers were cold. The pub was nice inside but only opened for one day of our stay. The noise on the pitch from the overhead pylons, the M6 motorway and the railway was constant through the night and was really loud. Also some of the roads at the bottom of the site are not suitable for caravans

Από τον διαχειριστή: We thank you for taking the time to review our park and note your comments, unfortunately the issue with the electricity was due to another caravan on site and we resolved it as quickly as possible but understand your concern over this. The pub is closed on a Monday so unfortunately this must have been one of your days on site. With regard to the noise it does seem to depend on the direction of the wind whether you hear anyting but understand your issues on this. We do wish you all the best for your future holidays.

Μου άρεσε: Lovely and clean and a great park. Very friendly staff. Fully serviced easy pitch. We were pitched near the tent area. Lovely views and nice and quiet in the evening for us. Great for fishing and good selection of ponds too.

Δεν μου άρεσε: Small downfall but would still go back. Toilet/bin facilities need to be a little closer for tourers/tent pitches.
