The Hunters Inn

Μου άρεσε: Nice flat site. Very secure as locked gate at entrance to site. Pitches large and clean with short mowed grass. Elsan and rubbish bins/ recycling available.
Pub on site was lovely, very friendly staff and excellent food at reasonable prices.

Δεν μου άρεσε: Toilets/ shower were in a porter-cabin which had seen better days. Washing up facility also a bit run down. Not too much problem as we’re self sufficient but could do with renovating or replacing to make site perfect.

Μου άρεσε: Toilets and shower kept clean with all facilities needed. Grass recently mown and the pub food is amazing!

Δεν μου άρεσε: Just had to ring the number a few times before someone got back to us to be able to access campsite but not a problem really.

Από τον διαχειριστή: Thanks for taking the time to review your recent stay, im sorry that you were unable to get hold of us as quickly as you would like, after the pub phone rings 4 times it diverts to a mobile so should never be a problem, I hope this didnt spoil your experience in any way and would have loved to have scored a 10/10 on the review.

Μου άρεσε: Loved the pub being so close and the food was amazing. Lovely location so close to lots of areas to explore.

Δεν μου άρεσε: The glass bottles being emptied in to the bin at 5.30am!

Μου άρεσε: The staff were very helpful and friendly. Our electric hook up cable was not long enough so we were supplied with a free of charge extension which was a god send.
The pub is lovely make sure you book in advance for busy periods.

Δεν μου άρεσε: The toilet/shower/washing up facilities were a bit dated and only 1 x female 1 x male shower was not really sufficient for the number of pitches.

Μου άρεσε: The pub is the absolute best! The most amazing food ever.
Don’t be put off by the slightly dated look of the pub. The pub and campsite are superb. Very peaceful and we’ll definitely return.

Μου άρεσε: Nice big pitches, food in the pub was really good and huge portions.

Δεν μου άρεσε: Facilities were very tired and not big enough, 2 toilets and 1 shower in either side in a portable unit. Not very clean.

Μου άρεσε: The site was well kept and pitches reasonably level, good access to site with locked gate. The pub next door had good food reasonably priced with pleasant staff and a public footpath just up the road to walk your dog. Pub also does take away meals if you prefer to eat in your caravan. There is free WiFi but signal wasn’t brilliant on hard standing pitches, Would have given 5 stars if toilet block was tidy.

Δεν μου άρεσε: Toilets and shower are in serious need of improvement and could do with a good clean. Toilets are very narrow with one of the male toilet doors not being Able to be locked when in there and no toilet paper available in the ladies. Both male and female toilets are in one demountable and they could really do with two demountables which would give more room in each and allow for extra toilets and showers

Από τον διαχειριστή: Thanks for taking the time to write your review, we are sorry to hear that you had no toilet paper in the ladies, this is checked regularly and we appear to have failed to check this on this occasion, a quick call or visit to the pub could have resolved this in seconds. I have checked all toilet doors and all are locking so not sure why this appeared not to be the case for you. as I have mentioned in a previous review, we are planning to create a new shower/toilet block later this year which will have more toilets and showers available, the pub toilets are available as well during opening hours, this is all day Thursday, Friday, Saturday & Sunday which covers the busy periods on camp site.

Μου άρεσε: Pitch sizes were great, access to water points and electric hooks spot on. Great space between each pitch, we were in pitch no9.
Quiet and peaceful field it was lovely.

Δεν μου άρεσε: The shower block were porter cabins, which I have no problem with but for 3 days one of the ladies of cubicles had no loo roll in. There was no hand soap and no paper towels to dry your hands.

The shower cubicle didn’t look very clean.
No squeezy mop to clean up the shower area either once it had been used. In the colder months it would be absolutely freezing.

The bin in the ladies didn’t have a lid on it either so grossed my daughter out as you can see everything in it.

Can’t comment on the gents.
Luckily we had our tourer so was self sufficient but I really wouldn’t have wanted to use them.

We didn’t eat at the pub so can’t comment on the food. Went out into Tewkesbury to explore.
