‘Cheesy’ smiles all around as Cheddar-based campsite is named top-selling site by Pitchup.com

Cheddar Petruth Paddocks in Cheddar, Somerset, has been named by Pitchup.com as its top-selling site for 2014 so far.
The figures compiled from Pitchup.com’s database of 1,050 camping and caravan sites throughout the UK and Ireland show Cheddar Petruth Paddocks is leading the way for visitors in 2014 bringing in a whopping 1,388 bookings between January and September 2014. The figure far outshines its nearest competitor by 23%.
Dan Yates, founder of outdoor accommodation specialist Pitchup.com, commented: “Cheddar Petruth Paddocks has rocketed to the top of our best sellers list this year, thanks to its excellent location and customer-focused team. Visitors here can choose to tour and bring their own accommodation or hire one of their fabulous tipis, making it a flexible choice.”
Cheddar Petruth Paddocks is a large, laid-back site offering 200 pitches and two lovely tipis. The owner provides visitors with logs and kindling for open fires and an information pack of what to see/do and eat locally. There is plenty to keep all visitors entertained, from the fun of Cheddar Gorge to hiking, walking and cycling through the Mendip Hills or Somerset Levels.
