Camping La Ribière

Syntes om What a beautifully situated campsite. Gorgeous area and lovely small villages around. Right next to the river. We were camping outside season, but it was still very clean and neat. Nadia is very friendly and helpfull at reception, and speaks English, not just French.

Syntes ikke om The bathroom is unisex to share, men and women. That I did not like at all.

We have also taken into account your comment about the women's toilets remaining closed. Please know that this choice is due to the fact that this part of our establishment is not heated, and for the comfort of all our guests, we prefer to close them during cold periods. Syntes om Lovely campsite, toilets and all facilities in great condition including a laundry (round the back of the building, I only found it near the end of my stay). Very friendly hosts too.

Syntes om The site is as good as it gets. Best we’ve been to in a long time. Clean, tidy, has all the facilities required, soap, paper, seats. Spotless. Great showers.
Pitch is spacious, we chose to overlook the river as we like water. Really nice spot. Walked into the supermarket, 5 minutes, into town 15 minutes. A few nice cafes and at least one restaurant that was open (out of season really) as well as the one on site. Train station 20 minutes walk, €12 into Nice, lovely day out. Town has some lovely medieval parts and a lot of history. Masses of walks and climbing if that’s what a person wants.

Syntes ikke om Minor picky point. The disabled toilet needs to be always accessible regardless of wheelchair users on site or not. There are a lot of disabilities that are not visible to other people.

With regard to your comment about access to the disabled toilets, we had in fact temporarily closed them because one or more non-disabled people were using the premises. That's why we closed them, to keep them clean for people who need to use them. You should have told us about this at reception so that you could have free access. But we take good note of your comment.

Nice food and drink available on site.
Great location for walking, travelling to Nice by train, paddling in an alpine river.
Nice pitch next to river.
Facilities always clean and well maintained.
Quiet.

Syntes om Lovely, clean facilities with toilet paper available outside the toilets which is always a bonus! Next to a beautiful, shallow river to dip your feet in on a hot day. The town is a 10-15 minute walk from the site and a supermarket is 5 minutes in the opposite direction. We decided to stay for 2 nights.
