Higher Moor Farm Campsite

Syntes om The staff were so personal, especially the young lad in the shop working, what a credit to his parents he is.
The toilets and showers were very tidy
The small touches such as the washing up bowls, sponges, washing liquid
The shop, whilst it was small, it had a great variety
Park was a nice touch but very small
The arcade area for the children was great
Lovely locations

The free roaming children - especially some teenagers who were rather rude, extremely loud, a group of girls screaming around the camp site at 10pm, and during our stay a group were carrying a I can only describe as a boom box that blasted out music past 9pm, which no it isn’t late but some people do have small young children and let’s be honest sponge bob square pants blaring isn’t everyone’s cup of tea.
Fencing needed to be more secure, as very uneven and unsafe

The litter left in the park - again minimal parent supervision by some, I collected a whole bag of rubbish from 1 trip to the park.
Felt sorry for the people who had paid all that money for pods when the view was mainly tents and free roaming children.

It states no sign written vans, we saw a few
It states no camp fires, we saw many

So many pros, but sadly the cons outweighed us considering a return.

Syntes om We loved our stay at Higher Moor Campsite! It was our first time camping with our dog, and it was a success.
Extremely well looked after camping, and great customer service. We will definitely return!

Syntes om A great campsite, with brilliant facilities and a nice little shop. A fantastic place to stay if visiting the Weymouth area. The showers and toilets were very clean.

Syntes ikke om It's not a dislike, but the site is small, so when busy it is quite tight. But, it should not put you off.

Syntes om The park!, the shop, evening entertainment and pizza oven!
The shower blocks and toilets are clean, well kept, smell nice and the showers are warm and have good pressure!

There is a games room and washing machines and tumble dryers for reasonable money.
There is also free charging station and a freezer.

The park is new for 2025 and kep my two girls under ten occupied for countless hours.

The pitches are well mown, spaced out and the pathways are lit softly at night.

Syntes ikke om The electricity pylon near the top left hand side buzzing, but is not generally near any pitches unless the site is really busy - make sure you request to not be cited under it as the buzzing kept up awake.

Children’s play area and goal.
Excellent shop and amazing friendly staff.

Syntes ikke om Excessive wasps due I believe to the proximity of the general waste bins.
We were approximately 10m away from the bins. People further into the site did not seem to have the same problem? Perhaps a re position or sealable lid?
I was concerned for the children and it was just frustrating for the rest of us especially when eating.

Syntes om Facilities were very clean and nice.
Liked the shop on site
Easy access to walks
Staff were helpful and very friendly
Overall the site was very well kept
We enjoyed our stay

Syntes ikke om Tent pitches seemed to be a little haphazard which made getting through to facilities a little challenging.
Dog walk area !! Needs to be fenced off as people actually pitched their tents in this already small area.

Syntes om Fabulous place, loved the atmosphere, on the Saturday night especially when there’s outdoor bingo, pizza and bar😃. Staff were brilliant, friendly and helpful. Facilities I.e shower and toilet blocks, disposal facilities and parks and entertainment for kids were all great. Shop was a god send but a little bit pricey.

Everything is clean and well kept but it’s the staff that make it.

Daniel’s bingo had us laughing and crying until our cheeks hurt, can wait until our stay next month.
