Ichi-Coo Park

Syntes om Well managed grounds, lovely layout, with grey waste outlet. Views over fields and surrounding country. We arrived late and left early so didn’t have time to appreciate the grounds, but Robin came out, late at night to guide us to the gate and show us where to park up. We were the only ones in. Pitch was pretty level.

Syntes om We loved the location, and I don’t mean the proximity to the airport! There are plenty of great cycling routes and walking opportunities nearby. The park itself is a gem. It is worth staying just for the opportunity of exploring the garden. It is an oasis for body and soul. The smell the eucalyptus trees is so balmy and there are plenty of benches to sit down and enjoy the views. The owner is very kind.

I also appreciate that aircraft noise can be disturbing if you’re not used to it. I have trouble sleeping in city hotels because of the street noise, which I’m not used to. During the pandemic, when all flying ceased, it felt like a zombie apocalypse, the silence was literally deafening. I do hope you’ll come back soon and I’d love to give you a tour of the garden and answer all your questions. 🙏

Syntes om If you like being in nature and can go offgrid then this site is for you! Beautiful land and gardens, the owner is lovely too and also very helpful (especially when we got lost!) there is a chemical disposal point and fresh water which is all we needed. Really enjoyed our stay and will definitely return!

We absolutely agree, we are a bare bones site, intended for motor homes with own power but we do provide fresh water and waste disposal.

Do let us know if you can think of anything we could do to earn those missing 2/10 points.

Syntes om Beautiful setting - we chose it because it’s a small site and it didn’t disappoint. It’s a very short walk down the hill to ichi-coo park which is stunning and so lovely to walk round.

We had the site all to ourselves and chose the pitch the furthest from the entrance gate. Pitches are a decent size.

We sat and watched the planes coming into land and taking off at Gatwick - great view of the runway! The planes noise didn’t disturb us at all.

There’s grey water drainage and fresh water facilities.

Syntes ikke om One of the local resident’ dogs were a little noisy and the exit gate is quite heavy and awkward but this didn’t take away from our experience.

Syntes om Lovely site with flat pitches for only 5 vehicles so nice and quiet. Fantastic gardens to explore and the kids really enjoyed watching the planes taking off from Gatwick. There was a chemical disposal point and fresh water which was all we needed as our van allows us to be off grid for a day or two.
