We are surprised by the noise from the local pub as we do not have one within earshot and so wonder if there was a private party being hosted nearby. Again we are sorry you were disturbed by this as we pride ourselves on the peace and quiet in this area. Syntes om: This campsite exceeded our expectations in every way. It is impeccably clean and superbly organized, and we particularly enjoyed the presence of picnic benches. The generous amount of space allotted for each tent creates a wonderful sense of privacy and isolation as if you have the entire campsite to yourself. As a group of mature campers, four of us who relish the experience of wild camping, this site proved to be an ideal match for our needs. We greatly appreciated the pet-friendly policy, the option for off-ground fires and BBQs, and the strict no loud music rule after 10:30 p.m. This campsite checked all the right boxes for us, and we were delighted to find that it lived up to its promises. The individuals overseeing the campsite were exceptionally friendly, engaging, and attentive, ensuring that our stay was as enjoyable as possible. Despite my initial reservations about compost toilets, our stay at Campfire Weekends showed me that when maintained properly, they are not a hassle at all. The toilet facilities were consistently clean, and they provided all the necessary supplies to keep them sanitized. Additionally, the toilets were cleaned three times a day, eliminating any concerns I had. Needless to say, I didn't need to rely on my own disinfectant wipes. Thank you for a fantastic experience!

Syntes om: Lovely big site with lots of space between pitches. Had to choose your spot well though as a lot of slope. Compost toilet well cared for and young staff came round regularly and made sure all emptied and clean. Lots to see and do in the area. Recommend food at Lazy Fox and breakfast in Garden Centre at Mark Cross.

Syntes ikke om: A bit of a hike if you wanted to visit a pub or eat out. The noise from the planes landing and taking off from Gatwick. Woke me up every morning as sounded like they were landing in the field. Shame as otherwise very peaceful, well managed site.

We have never had a comment about plane noise and can only presume that the chaos which hit Gatwick over this Bank Holiday Weekend lead to changes in their flight patterns. So sorry it affected your stay with us. Glad though that otherwise you got to experience what you should have here at Campfire Weekends - Campfire Weekends Team

Syntes om: Not too many people so there was plenty of space.

Syntes ikke om: Paid for logs and BBQ which was meant to be there for upon arrival for 5-6pm. Which ended up being a waste of time. The owners were coming back from a family holiday. They said that they had suffered delays so they didn’t arrive back and pass us the bbq and logs to cook some dinner on until 9:15pm. At which point it was just late. Grass was also kinda long to camp on.

I am so sorry you were affected by our late arrival. We have never had a family holiday with the extended family where we are all away together and our back up cover was also detained... a perfect storm. We will not leave anything reliant on Gatwick working smoothly again! Glad that you liked the space that we provide at Campfire Weekends. - Campfire Weekends Team

Syntes ikke om: Not allowed vehicle on yr pitch! It was howling gale and we could have done with using the car as a windbreak!!!

Fra bestyreren: Sorry you had such a windy experience on your weekend. As we do allow campfires, we do try to separate cars (fuel) and fire. Please do bring windbreaks etc .. we don't charge extra for that type of thing, again sorry it was so windy on your weekend hope we can host you again on a more clement weekend - All best Campfire Weekends Team
