Syntes om Absolutely amazing view. No specific time for arrival or leaving. Can arrive what time you want and leave at what time you want. Lovely and quiet which is what you need to relax and enjoy the views.

Syntes ikke om This is no fault of the owner - we read some bad reviews about noise and others ruining things and we hit lucky for the first part of the night it was lovely and quiet and relaxing. The pub further down must’ve had last orders and a group of young lads come back absolutely mortal drunk arguing. It was funny at first as they were just harmlessly rowing but then this went on until 1am which isn’t ideal when you’ve got kids asleep. Again no fault of the owner and it is a lovely site but just keep in mind if you have light sleeper children or if you yourself are a light sleeper - could happen anywhere I suppose.

Syntes om The host was very welcoming, offered fire equipment on arrival if we needed it. The view from the site was absolutely STUNNING. The grounds and portaloo's were well kempt during the entire stay. There is a pub just a couple minutes walk down the road. Overall a great campsite, would 100% stay here again.

Syntes om Really nice views, your near a little village and it has really nice walks nearby. The people who own it are very polite as well.

Syntes om Booked dead late on the night we wanted to camp, didn’t arrive until around 9:30pm was enough room to pitch up as it is a really good sized field. Views are incredible. You can have a campfire which is great and there is also a fresh water tap next to the toilets.

Only thing that wasn’t great was the group of four men who were drunk loud and up until gone three in the morning.

Syntes om Unbeatable views and a lovely, spacious campsite. Some of the pitches are slightly sloped, so if you arrive late you may not be able to find a perfectly level spot. The campsite owner was friendly and welcoming, and although it can get quite windy due to the high location, the incredible views make it well worth it. It's also in a brilliant location, with Pooley Bridge, Glenridding and Aira Force all within easy reach. Even the Aldi in Penrith is only around a 15-minute drive away.

Syntes ikke om Unfortunately, on our second night we were woken by a group of drunk campers who refused to keep the noise down. When another camper asked them to be quiet, they actually turned their music up even louder, despite knowing they were camped near families with children. I did wonder whether some of the negative reviews mentioning noisy groups and drinking might unintentionally attract people who think they can get away with that sort of behaviour. However, by the following morning, one of the men had apparently been arrested, so it was clear the campsite owner had taken the situation seriously and dealt with it appropriately.

Syntes om Good location, pub really close, loads of room so didn’t really hear anyone, lady who runs it was really nice.

Syntes ikke om £25 to plonk a tent in a field, no showers and use a portaloo is a bit crazy, but I paid it so who’s the real winner?
