Very clean, staff come daily to your pitch to take your rubbish away

But on our stay some families were still being loud and rowdy at 4 in the morning. There’s no site security to keep this under control.
3 very basically toilets, although very clean. Could do with 1 or 2 more on this area. 2 showers, which feed from the singular communal sink. So these do go cold when sink is in use.

Fra bestyreren: We were called at 2230hrs and 2330hrs about that group. We visited them on each occasion and quietened them down. We waited 15 minutes before returning and we received no more calls that night.

We never received another call, but we were told the next morning the group had continued until 0400hrs.

We told the group to leave straight away and banned them from the site.

We can only respond to what we know about. These incidents are rare and it’s uneconomical to pass the cost of overnight security onto campers. As explained at the campsite entrance, if there’s a problem, please call us.

Antisocial behaviour is as illegal on a campsite as it is at home. If you’re ever in the same situation again, please always consider calling the Police on 101 because if people don’t meet our requests to quieten down, that’s what we do.

Syntes om Love how they all have fire pits, amazing views, great location and spacious pitches. It’s great having the animals around you. Clean site with three fabulous showers with rainfall showerheads.

Syntes ikke om There’s only one sink for washing up and if you run it when someone is in the shower the hot water goes off. Also no handbasin in the toilets to wash your hands.

15 minutes walk to Sedburgh which has lots of shops cafes pubs and places to eat.
Farm animals on site so nice to see lambs being fed.
Spar shop open till late in walking distance.

Showers (3 of ) very basic.
Looks like under development and still building so we will likely return another time and see if anything changes.

Fra bestyreren: This review is inaccurate. There are 2 sinks on the main field, 3 porcelain flushing toilets, 2 showers and 4 mains water taps.

These comfortably service 30 pitches.

In late May bank holiday we seem to have had a few campervans with middle aged couples who struggle to queue and be patient for other campers. One of them also had children, and in her tantrum admitted it was hot a she was frustrated at queueing for 10 minutes at peak time to wash her pots. She was on pitch 3 next to the pot wash. When I suggested she could have sat and relaxed until the queue cleared, she admitted feeling daft.

If you visit the Yorkshire Dales on a bank holiday with London or Lake District consumerist expectations, you’re going to be disappointed. Relax, be kind, be patient and enjoy a different way of looking at life. Sometimes a bit of patience isn’t just better for your health, it’s better for the environment too.

Syntes ikke om The worst shower and toilet facilities I have used. Only two showers for the whole site and three toilets with no hand wash available. If someone uses the only potwash sink your shower runs stone cold

Fra bestyreren: We pride ourselves on giving affordable access to the Western Dales, so we pace our infrastructure reinvestments at a pace that avoid cost increases to family’s who would otherwise be excluded.

Bank holidays are always very busy and we have a balance to strike. I’m happy that on this bank holiday we got the balance right.

Facilities are exactly as advertised and when we’re busy, all we ask is for a little kindness, patience and understanding towards other campers.

There are 2 potwash sinks on site between 30 pitches on the main field. On the weekend referred, there was never a queue of more than 2 people waiting for a sink (between 30 pitches) at peak times. The 3 porcelain toilets (between 30 pitches) never had more than one person per toilet waiting. The 6 portaloos on site never had a queue outside.

Comments such as those in this review are typical of campers who arrive in their expensive campervans expecting 5 star service (at affordable prices) with no regard for the infrastructure limitations (such as water pressure) in rural locations or the needs of other campers.

I genuinely and sincerely encourage those campers who read this review and fit the profile of a middle aged couple, with an expensive campervan, limited patience or understanding, to become members of the Caravan & Camping Club, pay accordingly, and go onto camping sites with bureaucratic rules & regulations where you are charged for every extra because we aren’t the site for you.

If you are a hardworking family, looking to enjoy the Yorkshire Dales culture of modesty, respect and courtesy, willing to wait 5 minutes at peak times/bank holidays to wash your dishes, then please come and visit, we’ll meet your generosity of spirit with relaxed determination to help you to enjoy our landscape, culture and hospitality.

Syntes om Beautiful spot, stunning scenery, owners very pleasant and come to pick up rubbish twice a day and sell logs for the fire pits. I didnt bring kids but would be great for someone who does, loads of farm animsls to pet. Facilities- not glamping by any means but clean and do the job.

Syntes ikke om The group of 6 youg adults that partied loudly until 4am - nobrefection on the owners, we spoke to thenlady jn the morning and she told us she had shut them down twice, unfortunately for us I think they waited until after the 9:30pm quiet time then started up.again once they knew nobody was going to come and ask them to leave. They were even laughing about getting banned from the site - they were that noisy we could even hear ehat they were saying, total disrespect to every other person camping within hearing of them

Syntes om Perfect stop with the van on the way home from Scotland, loved seeing all the farm animals (baby goats, lambs and piglets!) and talking to the owner about the charity they run was interesting.

Great hot showers, good toliets, but still had a very countryside vibe. Was quiet when we visited which was ideal for us.
