A memorial spire and the Wall of Names honour those who were lost during the war. In Nottingham (55 minutes), take a picture next to the Robin Hood statue before climbing up to Nottingham Castle, where you can visit a Lace Gallery, see uniforms and weapons at the Museum of the Mercian Regiment, or head underground for a cave tour.
