Syntes om A very quaint site, it was nice to pitch between the trees and the facilities were very clean. We were greeted by the owner who was more than helpful. I can’t fault the site at all.

Syntes ikke om The only thing that let it down was the location. Not the sites fault but next to the A17 was a bit too noisy to be under canvas with the traffic flowing all through the night, in a caravan I think this would have been a lot quieter.

We like to be open and honest with campers and we always declare that some people might find the road noise from the A17 a problem. I did give you some advice in being as far away from the road as possible and you did this. The noise volume we cannot control and hence why it is declared in our bio and description. Yes you are right that in a caravan the noise does subside but not disappear from the road. Somehow, it seems to get noisier if it’s raining too.
We do take great pride in keeping the site clean and tidy especially the toilet and showers and glad you noticed this as most people don’t.
We’d be very happy for you to come saty with us again soon. Thank you again for your time.

The weather plays quite a large part in this and can really impact positively or negatively in this. Syntes om Right from the booking process with pitch up, to the arrival and sitting everything was flawless.

On site manger is great. Helpful during arrival and offering advice on things to do near by.

The site is simple and rural. Full of trees to separate the guests. The small toilet and shower block have been spotless. The shower in particular is first class - hot and plentiful

We will be back....

Okay we were handy for an overnight stop but we didn’t hide the fact we are so close to the main road. We never have and we never will. To say we aren’t good for long stays is your opinion and we respect this. However, this season alone we have had numerous families stay for long periods and have made plans to return next year. Again we find that we are being penalised as if you had read our biography, you will find that we clearly state how close we are to the road. I’ll finish these comments as we know you will not be returning to The Beeches and hope that you do find your holy grail of a campsite.

Syntes om What a delightful little site. The pitches are a very generous size with pretty fairy lights around the trees. The shower block was spotlessly clean as was the washing up area. We arrived very late due to horrendous traffic problems but it wasn't an issue. There is a wonderful play area for children where they can climb swing & generally be children.

Syntes ikke om Not really a dislike but the shower was not disabled friendly, I did manage to get in it but was very wary getting out because of the step down.

Fra bestyreren: Thank you very much for your lovely review of The Beeches. We are very appreciative of reviews, the bad as well as the good as that is how we improve our site. The toilets and showers are cleaned daily and we are very pleased that you found them to be spotless, likewise the washing up area.

I am very sorry to hear that you found it to be difficult to get in and out of the shower and if you had made us aware during your stay, we would have tried to make it easier for you as we want everyone to enjoy their stay. We noticed on your booking form that you asked to be close to the facilities, but did not know that you are disabled. If I had known then I would have contacted you to find out how your disabilities affect you, as we know our site is not at all wheelchair friendly due to the unhelpful moles and rabbits. We do try and cater for the majority of people, though we accept that we fall short in some areas. During the closed season we will try to address this, so should you wish to book with us in the future, hopefully we can make it much easier for you.

Syntes om Nice and peaceful, park good for kids, clean facilities, the host was very kind and welcoming. Close to local shops and amenities.

Syntes ikke om Was a bit unsure as where to go when we got there signs for reception on left but nothing/nobody there, had to wait for the owner to come. Closer to the main road than expected very noisy throughout the day when sat in awning but when in caravan barely noticeable. Signal/reception very poor (understandably for some is a good thing) but for us with young children was not able to stream ect.

With regards to the reception, as we are close to the end of the season we don’t ’man’ it, as we do in the height of summer. There was a sign, asking campers to ring the campsite phone number, but for some reason, it appears to be missing! We will rectify that.
With regards to the road noise, it is stated clearly in the write up on PitchUp that we are very close to the very busy A17 and unfortunately, there is nothing we can do about that and I’m pleased to read that it didn’t bother you too much once inside your caravan.
