Afegiu les dades de la vostra empresaWhen you book a stay at Cabañas Volcán Capellanía, you’ll never be far from anywhere on Lanzarote. Just on the outskirts of La Vegueta village, the cabins are located pretty much in the geographical centre of the island, so you can be soaking up the sun on Puerto del Carmen beaches or shopping in Arrecife within 20 minutes’ drive.
Simple accommodation is in cabins with wooden decor, kitted out with double beds (all bedding is supplied), cosy sofas and wardrobes for storing all your gear. Spacious ensuites each have a walk-in shower and useful extras like hair dryers, towels and toiletries.
Moving outside, you have either private decking or terracing with a covered area for alfresco dining, and – wherever you look at this exceptionally peaceful spot – wondrous views of stark volcanic peaks on the horizon.
Any cooking takes place in the communal kitchen, which has all the basics including two hobs, washing-up sinks, a fridge and washing machine. There’s also a little chill zone next to the cooking area, where you can hang out with an evening drink and mull over your day’s adventures.
There is a bus stop about 100 yards from the house, but it is generally advisable to have a car so you can get around the island easily.

A day at the seaside will be high on everyone’s agenda. For leisurely lingering in the sun, head to the golden sands of Playa Flamingo (35 minutes’ drive), or for a quieter vibe, you may well have black-pebble Playa Quemada (25 minutes) to yourselves. Las Cucharas (half an hour) on the Costa Teguise is a popular spot for windsurfing with consistent brisk winds, and Playa del Reducto (20 minutes) is good for kids, with cafés and a playground.
Tiring of the beach? Surely not – but if you do need a change of scenery, there are pony rides, sea lion frolics and Country-and-Western-themed musical evenings at Rancho Texas Lanzarote Park (25 minutes). For fast-paced watery fun, make for the waterslides at Aquapark Costa Teguise (20 minutes), where you can gang up on your offspring for paint-balling challenges or play VR games with younger kids.
When it’s time to explore Lanzarote’s red-and-black volcanic landscape, head first for the Visitor Centre located at Mancha Blanca (five minutes) in Timanfaya National Park. Here you can find all the information you need to go walking in the Fire Mountains or take a camel trek through the lava fields.
