A leafy enclave set among palm trees on the Costa Blanca, the glampsite is five minutes’ drive from Pilar de la Horadada, and about an hour’s drive along the coastline from Alicante.
Staying here makes life easy as you don’t need to set up a tent – the luxurious pre-erected glamping units await in a variety of sizes and styles. Whichever comfortable option you choose – they sleep up to six guests – they all come equipped with linens on the beds, storage space and a cooler box for keeping food fresh.
Each pitch has an outdoor picnic space surrounded by neatly trimmed hedges for extra privacy. Pick up ingredients from the on-site supermarket if you’re sticking with self-catering, or abandon alfresco cooking and make a beeline for the terrace restaurant instead.
Even before you think about leaving the glampsite, the whole family can whizz down waterslides, swim laps of the pool, play padel tennis or exercise in the gym. If you are craving some me-time, book a spa session (younger kids can join the site’s organised activities while you relax).
Just when you thought things couldn’t get better, you have access to a bunch of white-sand Mediterranean beaches with loads of water-sports options (five minutes’ drive).

If it’s beaches you’re after, you certainly won’t run out of options – after all, this is the Costa Blanca. The closest is Playa de Mil Palmeras (five minutes’ drive), a sandy family-friendly stretch with pedalos and banana boats for hire and a couple of ‘chiringuito’ beach bars for refuelling. The cove at Playa del Conde is backed by restaurants and bars, while you can stroll through the dunes and snooze on loungers at Playa de las Higuericas (both 10 minutes). For a different sort of beach experience, take a dip in the mud baths at Baños de Lodo (15 minutes).
In the unlikely event that the kids tire of the beach, you can fall back on horse riding and go-karting at Rufete Multiaventura Park (15 minutes), play golf on several courses within 20 minutes’ drive, or go hiking through dramatic gorges in the rugged Área Natural Río Seco (20 minutes).
More natural beauty is to be found while exploring the wetlands of Paraje Natural Lagunas de Lo Monte (10 minutes), and you can often watch pink flamingos feeding at Salinas y Arenales de San Pedro del Pinatar (10 minutes).
