This is a top spot for holidays with plenty of variety too: it’s right next to Fertilia beach on the Coral Coast, with national parks and historic cities ripe for exploring close by.
Much is sorted for you here to make life easy: and it starts with arrival: there’s a shuttle transfer straight from Alghero Airport if you want it. Set among eucalyptus and pine trees, the spacious and smart safari tents all have well-equipped kitchens, living areas and private bathrooms as well as bedrooms with wardrobe space. Shady terraces lend themselves to afternoon snoozes or family suppers al fresco.
So, there’s nothing to stop you heading straight for the pools. Kids can run around under sprinklers in the spray park and try out the waterslides. Elsewhere on the park, you can fish in the lagoon, up your fitness levels in the gym or hire a bike to explore the locality – and if it all gets too hectic, simply escape to laze under a parasol at the beach.
There’s no need to worry about food either. The site centres around a large terrace restaurant, where you can relax with a drink, order a pizza from the wood-fired oven or pick from the main menu. If you prefer to test out your kitchen, all the basics are available in the handy on-site food store.

Although you may have to prise the kids away from the waterpark, you may well be able to pique their interest with rope swings and treetop trails at Parco Avventura - Le Ragnatele (20 minutes' drive). If that fails, promise them fun on inflatables at Splash Aquapark, just a 10-minute stroll away.
For more of an outdoor adventure, get the walking boots on and scramble over cliffs to sea caves in Parco Naturale Regionale di Porto Conte (30 minutes). Parco Nazionale dell’Asinara (30 minutes to the ferry) is on a small island, so hop on a boat for off-roading adventures and the chance to spot wild donkeys.
For a dose of laidback Sardinian culture, try spending some time in Alghero (20 minutes) – nicknamed “Little Barcelona”. Here you can wander Spanish-style streets lined with cute churches, and check out local seafood dishes at terrace restaurants.
