Villatent at Centro Vacanze San Marino has a handful of eye-catching accommodation options in a well-presented hillside park overlooking the Adriatic coast. The grounds of this green site are split up over landscaped terraces, with outdoor attractions that include a tennis court, kids' play areas and a small petting zoo where the little ones can help take care of the animals. Another firm favourite will be the spacious outdoor pool – swim to the island in the middle if you're after a spell in the jacuzzi or a go on the massage jet.
For dinner, take a seat at the on-site Italian restaurant and tuck into some pizza, pasta, fish or antipasti on the terrace. There's also high-season entertainment here, including a handy kids' club for guests aged between 4 and twelve.
Of course, you might prefer to make your own fun as a family in your spacious safari tent, where lots of outdoor seating, a compact but well-equipped kitchen and proper sleeping quarters are all part of the package.

Villatent at Centro Vacanze San Marino is just a 10-minute drive from the old city of San Marino, a UNESCO-listed medieval fortress town with impressive museums, cafés, castle towers and a scenic cable car that you can ride to nearby Borgo Maggiore. Another benefit of coming here? Any souvenirs you pick up for friends and will be duty-free.
Getaways to the sandy beaches of the Adriatic are also on the cards here – within 25 minutes of setting off from San Marino you can expect to be in the port city of Rimini, famed for its Roman and Renaissance monuments and for being the birthplace of film director Federico Fellini. Also unlikely to go amiss are the town's several waterparks and a long stretch of sandy Mediterranean beach.
When not surveying the scenery from San Marino's walls or sunning yourself down at the coast, make tracks southwards to the Onferno caves (30 minutes) or Urbino (an hour) for visits to Raphael's birthplace, the amazing Albornoz Fortress or the city's university-run botanical gardens.

No em va agradar Al momento della prenotazione non sono stata informata dei bagni in comune e della mancanza di lenzuola e asciugamani. Inoltre mi hanno fatto pagare due volte il soggiorno, dopo diverse mail mi hanno reso i soldi. Non capivo perché pitchup e villatent mi chiedevano entrambi i soldi. C'è poca chiarezza.
