A 45-minute drive from Ajaccio, this site is well situated for a seaside escape in the Gulf of Sagone, with the hinterlands (including waterfalls, mountains and rivers) within reach too.
Get set for a stay in comfort, as there’s a swimming pool on site with sun loungers for a lazy afternoon. And when energy levels are running high, there’s an outdoor playground, table football and table tennis too.
Sling a picnic and swimming gear over your shoulder because it's an easy 20-minute walk to Le Liamone beach if you fancy a sandy lounge around (or a splendid sunset, if it’s late enough in the day). Handily, there’s a restaurant overlooking the beach and the river too.
If you're not sticking there for sunset, return to the site and grab a drink from the on-site bar. Pull out the stops for a barbecue if you wish, as they’re provided on site. Conveniently, there’s a food shop and bakery on site for any bits you need, plus several shops (and restaurants or bars too) 15 minutes’ walk away.
Other handy features around the site include wifi (for planning out your route) and a launderette (so that you can take care of any sandy clothes), plus plenty of friendly faces to point you in the direction of the creeks, lakes and gulfs around Corsica.

Red granite walls and a steep drop to the sea… walk the trails around the UNESCO World Heritage Site at the Calanques de Piana (50 minutes’ drive), where legend has it that the rock formations (in the shape of animals and humans) were formed by the devil.
How about a lake up high? The only wooded lake in Corsica, Lac de Creno (an hour) is 1310 metres above sea level and dotted with water lilies and rare protected plants. Hike there from Soccia (50 minutes), a peaceful mountainside village.
Chestnut trees, beeches, pines, oaks and holly… if you’d rather a forest hike, the Foret d'Aitone (50 minutes) has thick vegetation in the south of Corsica and it's also home to refreshing natural pools and waterfalls.
For a day trip, visit the Gulf of Porto for Ota (an hour and 15 minutes), a seafront town in the hamlet of Porto with gorges, mountain hikes and beaches… and if you’re willing to go further up the coast, there’s the Gulf of Girolata (an hour and 45 minutes) and the UNESCO World Heritage Site of the Scandola Nature Reserve (two hours).
