Whether you’re looking for a family-friendly base for exploring the stunning Istrian coastline, or the sort of chilled pool-and-beach holiday that induces total relaxation, fear not. Polidor Family Camping Resort at Funtana has got you covered in both cases. After that leisurely break in the sun? This neatly landscaped campsite has two outdoor pools – one for adults only, and the other with water slides for kids to splash around on. And when that’s not enough, a mini-train or a 10-minute walk takes you to the pebble beach at Bijela Uvala, where there are a couple of rather glam lido bars and safe water for swimming. And if exploring is what you’d like to do, that’s no problem either. Simply head for pretty Poreč (10 minutes’ drive), or spend a day in the mini-Dubrovnik that is Rovinj (45 minutes). Once back at home base after a day’s snoozing in the sun or Istrian sightseeing, order a cocktail in the pool bar and later drift into the alfresco restaurant to sample tasty Istrian and Mediterranean cooking (peak season only). And what of the practicalities? Pitches are spacious and shaded; reception is manned 24/7 to help you at any time; and kids can relax with new-found friends or watch their favourite TV shows in the cosy communal space. Heated showers and baby-changing facilities are found on the ground floor of the multi-purpose building, which also has a play area for kids and a wellness centre with massage rooms (in case you’re not quite relaxed enough).

Em va agradar Mi è piaciuto tutto, penso sia il luogo migliore dove ho soggiornato.
È un campeggio ma è un resort: dalla struttura dei bagni bellissima e climatizzata, perfetta per i bambini: c'è addirittura una vasca a circa un metro di altezza per fare comodamente il bagnetto ai bimbi più piccoli come il mio che ha compiuto da poco un anno, alla pulizia generale, a chi lavora per farti sentire a casa e ancora meglio tutti in divisa e molto cordiali.
Il campeggio è collegato agli altri del consorzio ed è possibile muoversi liberamente sia per fare sport, una passeggiate o cambiare scenario per il mare.
Davvero notevole. Sicuramente ci torneremo. Già ci manca!

No em va agradar Non di vede traccia di sorveglianza notturna, a differenza degli altri campeggi della zona, ma in realtà non è una critica: é che non è necessaria. La clientela è già scremata all'origine!

Em va agradar Super relaxed site, really clean and good facilities. The pool was perfect to cool off with a pool bar. The food in the restaurant was excellent and all the staff were very friendly and welcoming. Very dog friendly with a dedicated shower (even had a hairdryer!). A short walk off road (around 10 minutes walk) or bike ride to the beach with a few bars and restaurants. Highly recommend A+++

Em va agradar Hibátlan rendezett környezet, tiszta vizesblokk. Még árnyék is volt felettünk, ehhez azért szerencse kellett. Tudtuk, hogy kavicsos a talaj, vittünk alátétet a matracok alá.

No em va agradar A sátorvasakat picit nehéz volt leverni, de ez nem rettentett el minket. A tenger 10 perc séta, de ezt is tudtuk előre.

Em va agradar Der Campingplatz ist überschaubar. Ist sehr sauber und gepflegt. Auch die Sanitär Anlage war zu jeder Tageszeit immer top sauber.
Es gibt extra ein Baby/Kinder Waschzimmer mit Badewanne. Das war super und sehr liebevoll eingerichtet.

No em va agradar Leider ist der Pool total überlaufen und auch nachmittags eher mit Leuten gefüllt die an der Cocktailbar halt machen.
Der „Privat“ Strand ist für Kinder nicht geeignet. Es ist extrem Laut und auch eher für die älteren geeignet.
Wir sind immer mit dem Hotel Zug zum Strand gefahren und ein paar Meter gelaufen. Man findet in der Nähe wiesen mit Schattenplätzen.

Leider kommt man ohne Auto auch nicht weg von dem Platz.
Keine Bus Verbindung in der Nähe. Taxi ist teuer
Mit eigenem Auto und Wohnwagen würden wir wieder kommen

The history-lovers among you might like to tour the sixth-century Euphrasian Basilica in Poreč (10 minutes), or visit the baroque-era Church of St Euphemia in Rovinj (45 minutes) before having a potter around its cobbled Old Town. Pula (50 minutes) has the Roman-era Temple of Augustus and vast Arena to explore – you can book open-air concerts there on summer evenings. To mash up learning with entertainment, take the kids to the Sanc Michael Medieval Theme Park (40 minutes) for jousting shows and archery sessions. If that doesn’t do the trick, stop any complaints with a trip to Pula Aquarium, with its displays on Adriatic sea life, or head out into the Adriatic Sea on dolphin cruises from Poreč marina (10 minutes). They shouldn’t moan too much, however, when they realise just how much there is to do right next to the campsite. Dinopark Funtana provides an action-packed day out on dinosaur trails, gentle carousels, mini-train rides and live shows. Let the whole family loose on the lazy rivers and water slides at Aquapark Aquacolors, or up the activity levels and have a run-around at Paintball Funtana (all five minutes’ drive).
